Anyone catch the Sugar Ray Robinson documentary on HBO?

    The man was a total beast!

    I never knew about the death of Jimmy Doyle. SRR had a dream that he killed Jimmy Doyle in the ring and wanted to withdraw from the fight. It took a preist and minister to convince him to go forth with the match. Sure enough SRR KO'd Doyle in the 8th round and Doyle died as a result of head/brain injurys.

    Yah I saw it a couple of weeks ago. Real good stuff. I think his record was 120-1-1 at one point or someting similiar ... Crazy!!!

    He got knocked down quite a few times in his career though, which surprised me

    But still an all time great
