Quigley should have been given the nod. He backed Smith up all night bar the two rounds at the end. I had him winning 115-113. I think Quigley is a real warrior. In 14 fights he has already fought Cleverly, Dodson and now Smith. He needs to lose a bit of weight get down to middle and he could be in some great fights as he don't seem scared to take any challenges. For someone with 28 wins Smith was crap and after all those fights if that is the best he can do then he wont get much further. No way should he have taken that title by fighting on the back foot for 10 rounds. You should really give the champion the nod in close rounds especially when he is backing the guy up. Froch got a decision for similar reasons and he was being outboxed. Can't say Smith outboxed Quigley

I scored it a draw. Quigley took the early rounds but as the fight progressed much of his work was lost in the clinch. Smith made it easy to score his rounds last on and caught the judges eye. All in all a fight that promised much and left un=satified.
Great venue with a decent roll on / roll off undercard wish Hennnesy had half a decent card two weeks ago instead of keeping me awake until 4 am

Not the greatest of fights I have seen worst than that. Hard to pick a winner and I think Quigley deserves a rematch as I think Smith was lucky to get the decision those rounds were hard to judge and if I was to pick a winner Quigley by a round Smith didn't come alive untill the last 3 rounds and you dont deserve to win a title that way.

I thought Smith won it personally, I rarely bother to score fights but that was the overall impression I got from it. Not a good fight though, way to much clinching for my liking.

I had Smith by two rounds. Quigley looked very soft round the middle - looks like he could easily make middleweight if he wanted. It was a sloppy fight with too much holding. The only 2 decent rounds were the 11th and 12th.

I was there live, and have just watched the fight back on you tube also. There was not a great deal in it. From a live perspective, Smith was not as poor as is being made out on here. A bit lack lustre at points, but certainly not the poor boxer some people are making out on here. He boxed well on the back foot, with quigley being the naturally bigger man.
He landed with a large number of counter punches and hooks, and took a few shots well on the whiskers. Quigley was never out of it though also, and probably deserves the proposed re-match.
From watching it via the t.v. cameras, what comes across a bit more is quigley being able to push smith back a bit more than he liked. But i think smiths defense smothered most of what came at him.
The other thing is the **** poor commentatry from darke and watt. it is about time sky ****ed them off. I do honestly feel as if i am watching a different fight sometimes when i hear the **** that comes out of their mouths!

i must also add, the more telling and eyecatching shots DID come from smith. The only time quigley really connected was late on in the 3rd, other thatn that nothing. But a much better boxer and tougher opponent than i would have given him credit for before the fight

Would love to see someone hammer Smith, as awful as that sounds.

The guy is just an arsehole - or at least comes across as one.

'I can't get motivated for guys that I know I can beat' - well.... erm.... I think you got beat last night, Paul. You didn't even know you had beat him until the judges gave you the nod, mate.

Get off your fat ass and train properly. Get down to 160 and earn a shot at Barker :deal

Sometimes you have to win fights ugly...:yep

I thoght that Smith nicked by a round and if they go again it will be Quigley who is the winner with a rubber match..:bbb

If Smith can't get up for fights at this level he needs to have a good think about where he is going in the sport...:think
