I totally agree, good explanation. Gamboa has 5 official knockdowns but 2 of those are ilegit, one against Ramirez, ( a clear elbow ) and the other one against De Jesus, ( a clear push ). The other 3 have been out of balance knockdowns, and his last one against Salido was also a light one. Gamboa got hit and then threw a left hook and because of his swing lost footing and touched the floor even though it seemed that he went down because of Salido's punch. If you watch it many times you will see what I mean.

Gamboa has a much better chin than what most people think! ;)

And Salido is a much tougher foe than what most people think. Just look at how he disposed of Lopez!

Vaya, vaya, vaya! Mi gente Mexicana! ;)

Yes, I also think that Garcia will be Gamboa's stiffest test but will pass it too. Besides that Gamboa is way faster and stronger he also has that looong incredible amateur career at the absolute highest level. :bbb

I think that Mickey's trainer and brother Robert, also knows that his young bro is not ready to face El Ciclón. He problably remembers his spectacular bout with another Cuban Casamayor and he must remember how difficult it is to face an Olympic Gold medalist. Gamboa is much better than Casamayor.

But by having Mickey in the mix at 126lbs only adds more exciting to the already stacked division. It would be much better if Rigondeaux moves up! Or if Chris John finally gets some courage and fights Gamboa! Azucar! :hey

    Saludos! :good

And why do you think Arum hasn't sell that fight? After all Gamboa is not a cash cow and Mickey is, according to you garcia will steamroll over Gamboa, don't b stupid and don't let your nationalty blind you, garcia is not at the same level, he is not even on the same zip code, next thing you are going to tell me that Canelo and Jr are real champs.

So a 118 pounder that has never face a big, faster than him and more powerful boxer, is the one that will do it? In a way it reminds me of Gomez-Sanchez , and Donaire is not as talented and power puncher that Gomez was, and by the same token Sanchez wasn't as fast as Gamboa is, snd it was just 4 lbs difference, Donaire is used to midgets and some have giving him very though fights, oh well this generation are not used to c Cubans fighters, in a few years it will b different.

You said he will get ko by Lopez, a fighter that has being hurt a few times, a guy that was koed by Gamboa's leftover, you are deluded.
