Disagree. Gonzales was knocked down early, received a terrible accident cut and still out battle the tough Thai. Even with this obstacle, in my card he managed to beat Rungvisai by 4 points.
Shouldn't be a rematch considering he deserved a win the first time around. Judges, and fans, need to learn to score rounds and not blood and pressure.
Going to rewatch and meticulously score that and GGG/Jacobs. Didn't really score that one closely, but felt a draw or a point or two either direction was more than fair.
The problem is that Rungvisai most likely took Roman's soul (prime) in that fight. Mark my words... Roman will look bad next time out. I'm hoping and will be glad that I am wrong about this.
I think Rungvisai would knock him out, because of the weight difference , Rungvisai is probably 5 Pounds heavier after he rehydrates , so he is like a 10 years old and Roman Gonzalez is like a 8 or 9 years old, remember in school , how many 8 year old Kids could beat a 10 year old , i think it is unfair.
I think Romance won as well. But both took crazy punishment that fight. They should each fight one high ranked moderate powered puncher first before a rematch. Back to back fights like that ruin people. **** they might never be the same as it is......
I think Rungvisai had conditioning issues... I don't think he was ever really hurt by Roman's shots. Rungvisai also looked like he felt guilty for his obvious size/power advantage. He hugged Roman after the first round bell.
