this is the one iv been looking forward to more than any..

it will be so interesting to see ricky focus more on his subtlety and restraint as a boxer, rather than the all out crowd pleasing in your face style we love the little pug for,and make no mistake when put to it this guy CAN seriously box(on that we must agree pacfan,no?)!!

i for one will be attending and singing blue moon like no tommorrow at the weigh in and fight!

and yes take this as my prediction hatton will murder him!

I think the X-factor in this fight is Hatton. With Paulie, we know what he is. A pretty talented guy who is pretty slick and hard to deal with. If Hatton comes out with his tenacity and the foot speed to properly cut off the ring, he might win a convining UD. But if he's lost some of that foot speed and ability to track down Paulie, he could lose a conving UD IMO. You don't necessarily need power to hurt people as long as you can time them coming in. Forbes stunned Berto a couple of times by throwing well timed shots. And i think Paulie's got the same ability to time Hatton.

I'm still unsure but i'm leaning towards Paulie. I mean Billy Graham said he thought Hatton should retire. He thinks his lifestyle might catch up to him if it didn't already in the Luczano fight.

To be fair Hatton knocked Luczano from pillar to post for 11 rounds I'd say he looked better than Paulie did.

Don't know much about Luczano is he renound for having an iron jaw ?

It's a 50/50 imo but if I had to choose I'd go with Hatton I just think he will be too much for paulie on the night swarming him and using his usual hit and hold spoiling tactics to grind out a decision or even tko.

Agreed. As I stated above, I believe Paulie can pull this off. Except if Hatton looks way better than he did in the Lazcano fight, which I doubt.

I'm in two minds for this fight. I think Hatton is ripe for a good exposing and Malinaggi does have a lot of skills that Hatton doesn't...but I'm unsure yet how to rate Paulie. I know he's not great but I'm not sure how not great he is. This is not a fight that i'd like to put money on because I really dont have a clue what will happen. Look forward to finding out.
