Anyone else concerned that Brook has lost the weight too fast?

    Brook weighed in today at 153lbs at the British Board check weigh-in. I am actually astonished that he has lost the weight so quickly / he usually weighs more than this on the same week as the fight but with 3 weeks left only has 6lbs to lose.

    Is anyone else concerned that he has lost the weight too quickly? Will he have lost muscle doing it this way?

    Thoughts?

    It's hard to see where that other 6ib is gonna come from. He's like a POW.

    Not at all concern. Brook is a dedicated sportsman, he is in good shape all the time. I'm sure his team know what they are doing, as well this weight is saying he is doing very well.

    Post Carson Jones 1 I've always felt Brook has looked fairly decent on the scales at 147. I think he will be OK.

    What do you mean by too fast? He was already out in Marbella training long before the Spence fight was announced.. he's been training for about 14 weeks

    Not a worry at all. Kell has been in the gym for a good while plus his team contain them guys from Sheffield University. They know what they are doing and will have Kell bang on weight strong and ready to fight.

    Would be interesting to know what Spence weighs atm, he's not a small welter either.

    Nope. They know what they are doing. It was on here where people claimed he would have trouble getting back down to 147

    Like I said in my post, for previous fights Brook has been heavier than this on the final week before the fight yet this is 3 weeks out

    Yeah but without knowing what his starting weight was at when camp started we wouldn't know if this was an out of character.

    8 weeks ago ago Brook could of been lighter than usual?

    It's exactly the same as when he weighed in 178lb Vs GGG to show the weight wasn't the issue.

    He weighed in on the light side to show Spence he will be fine and strong at the weight

    i think you have this all back to front....it is far better he only has to shift 2lb a week ,he will be stronger and fitter not being on a crash diet then blowing up on fight day...
    he also now has a proper dietician who looks after him far out from the fight so he makes weight as healthy as possible...

    cannot wait for this fight

    It's Fuerteventura, pal, not Marbella. He was in his first camp there before Christmas.

    He hasn't fought since September. He's had loads of time to get in shape for this one.
