Bivol not a big puncher and pascal has a good chin . Good win , but I think many overrate bivol .

I'm not criticizing his opposition, I'm just not overrating it either. Pascal and Sullivan were good fighters 3 years ago, and Chilemba is a solid journeyman...and that's about he size of it.

Let me let you in on a secret Bro., to be a star you have to have one of three qualities.

    1. devastating power.

    2. overwhelming charisma (good or bad).

    3. Insane aggression and fearlessness.

And the guy can't speak English, so #2 ain't an option.

They are not Americans. It is just normal that the standard are higher for none American. They to have to perform to a higher level if they want American TV and crowd attention. I am not American but I would definitely have that attitude, specially if the doesn't even speak the home language. Like come on, make at least an effort. If you are just a mercenary who comes and take his paycheck, we will treat you as a mercenary, not like the hometown guy who we are cheering for. And again, I am not from the States.

Because I don't think he has what it takes at the highest level. He is a great fighter but doesn't do any one thing exceptionally well. He leaves himself open to counters at times. That may be all it takes.

I was disappointed at Bivol's approach.
Sometimes these fighters from behind the iron curtain don't seem to realize that in order to make a name for themselves, they need to be exciting and entertaining, too.
Bivol is a good boxer but he took zero risks against Pascal. And i thought Bivol was closing in on top 20....

Bivol fought a near flawless fight. That being said he just does not have the explosive power to stop upper level fighters, or apparently upper level has-beens. It takes nothing away from Bivol, though, as his stamina is top level for that division. High punch output, accuracy and stamina. A very good combination.

Yes.... imo he should have stopped him. Awesome display of heart from Pascal though.

Also, the comparisons between Mayweather and Bivol, in terms of standard, are a bit unfounded, imo.

Contexts matter.... going the distance with a shot, outmatched opponent, while in your prime.... is not comparable with going the distance with outmatched opponents that are in your 3rd, 4th (ect) division, while nearing your mid 30's.

    Just a bad comparison, imo.

I haven't seen the fight, but up till now he had always performed "better" against common opponents as Kova did, and Pascal had a couple of years extra on the clock.
So I expected him to stop Pascal, but he probably lacks the raw power to do so.

He is talking about double standarts.
