IMO a very good fight. Shane came to win and I was impressed with the fact that he didn't fold. Alvarez looked good and fought a good fight but still slugged it out at times. Quite good action throughout the fight. I think it was a really good fight for Alvarez too. I wouldn't say he dominated but for a 21 year old that's a good thing. He can go away from the fight with a lot more knowledge, knowing he still has areas to work on. All in all an enjoyable fight. What did u guys think?
Great fight. Nice to see the amount of respect thery showed each other at the end. Especially Mosley. Very likeable guy.
it was sad to see Shane so lost against Canelo, his power was completely gone, Canelo didn't respect him and walked thru his punches. His coordination horrible, speed gone. Canelo looked like a monster, hope he fights a real contender now.
Very good fight. To me Shane still has stamina, chin and heart but he obviously doesn't pack anymore the power he once had nor the speed. Canelo is a very complete fighter I loved the way he punished Shane to the body in round 9 he mixes up his punches very good as he posesses a wide arsenal of punches
That's how I feel. Props to Mosely for at least not making a fool of himself as he did in his last two fights, but all you can really say is "he looked good for an old man." Canelo looked terrible. Mosely telegraphed every shot, yet Canelo failed to counterpunch. At all. And he also had virtually no defensive movement. IMO, Alvarez was exposed tonight as the hype-job many always said he was.
I've been a fan of the young Alvarez when I first saw him two years ago. Was impressed with how far he's come. He continues to mature and tonight showed poise, strength, and unlike many fighters, remains disciplined. It will be exciting to see how he progresses.
I thought it was a very entertaining fight. Mosley is the warrior of the night, not to take anything away from Cotto. :good
