Anyone else enjoy Fury's 1 year reign more than Klitschko's 10 year reign?

Which only shows you how much a win over Wlad means.

Fury had just 24 fights and very limited amateur experience when he de-throned Wlad.

Wlad in his 24th fight was beaten by Ross Purrity. Imagine that Klitschko beating a prime Lewis in 1998. lol.

This is why Wlad has always been overrated. A hall of famer. Not an ATG.

Which also shows Wlad never beat nobody. Ever.

oh that is so treading on thin ice, mate. The number of old past-it invalids wlad beat up is astronomical, far in excess of anyone else in HW title history.

I dont mind you calling wlad 40 when he was still 39 since he wasnt far off 40 at all of course. But lets look at wlad a bit closer if you are going to include late 30somethings too (BY YOUR DEFINITION, NOT MINE)

five yeara ago he was beating up Tony T, a 39 year old who even when prime wasnt in contention. Before that Hasim Rahman was shot2shyt cheque accepting 37 and one of the shortest reigning titlists in history, Sanders was shot2shyt retired 37 who wehen prime couldnt for the life of him land a title shot, thats just the start.

The only reason Fury had more limited amateur was because he was a limited amateur. At the same age Wlad won the Olympic gold, Fury couldn't even make it to the olympics

And your comprasion For 24 fights is stupid. Fury had 24 fights in 7 years, where he only fought 2 top20 opponents. Look up how many contenders Wlad fought in the First 7 years of his Pro career.

Which means Wlad was more experienced when he lost to a journeyman than Fury was when he became champ.

Yeah, maybe. But It may also mean Fury took the easiest route to a title shot against an old, gun shy champ.

not defending fury, you are right that hes bum enough, but using wlad as a yardstick is poor, wlads best effort in his first 7 years is getting wiped out easily in seconds by retired guy who wouldnt contend in his prime. Thats freaking appalling

Not necessarily. He signed to fight Haye when nothing was to be gained. A loss would have put him further away from a title shot and only about 5% of boxing fans were picking Fury to win that fight.

And Wlad was a young 39 year old. More like 34 in boxing years.

Vitali was looking unstoppable when he was 39.

My only regret is we never got to see Fury rendered unconscious by someone, followed by the collective grief of the slop browed, knuckle dragging freaks he calls 'family'
