From experience, the first Andrade fight was the fight that some start to dislike Bute. I dont want to start another Andrade/Bute thread, but if the ref made a mistake, its not the fault of the boxer. Boxer who gave Andrade the rematch and redeem himself. Others I think dont like him because they feel he is protected in Montréal, which even when opponents make fight with him, they want to fight in Montréal because everyone make more money. Others I think dont like him because he dont fight the best out there. I dont want to start another thread like this too, but now that the "best" out there will be free starting next year, we will see if Bute really wants to fight the best. Just pick one!
Because Bute has something to prove, in a way Froch didn't. Also, Johnson is getting older by the minute.
So, Martinez had nothing to prove and should have coasted to a UD vs Barker?!?? GTFO. Ward had everything to prove against Miranda... should he really have KO'ed him? Did his stock lower considerably after the UD? Puahahaha. Dirrell counted out as inactive, we have the #3 (or 2, 4, 5?) fighting #5 here. Pretty exciting.
I'm excited to see if Bute can Knock-Out the guy imposible to KO again. And to see how many problems can Johnson put Bute through, and how he'll solve those problems Johnson is the perfect calculated pressure fighter(a bit like Froch minus the amazing rangy jab). Johnson will deprive Bute of his space, the space he loves so much, the space that he require to unleash his best punches. Johnson will bring power punches, combinations, a good fast sharp jab, strong pressure and what Andrade lacked, a good unconventional defense while moving forward and a good balance between his attack and defence.
I have a reserve about the combinations (Johnson doesn't throw that much punches) but the rest is spot on. :good
Maybe combinations is an overstatement.. series of punches probably is the therm I was looking for and more appropriated to be used.
