I dont know why, but I am really excited to see Zab back in live action this friday. I know he isnt the most mentally stable guy in the sport and I know he isnt p4p material but man he has skills, fast hands and good power.

Anyone else excited to see him back on TV?

His best known career highlight is getting KTFO.

    Looking forward to this fight.

I was almost done building the Jose Armando Santa Cruz bandwagon when he was a young up-and comer but it was totally derailed by the unheralded Fernando Trejo:patsch

Santa Cruz's career took a huge dive after that but I'm still pulling for him here.

Zab is the kinda dude, that while he could never sustain a championship reign, has the ability on any given night to beat anybody. There's also a possibility that on any given night he could lose to anybody, hence he's fun to watch. America loves an underdog, comeback story, I'd like to see Zab put together a little run and get another shot just to see what would happen.

I think I would almost rather watch some good up and comers than Judah smoke a journeyman.

If champioship fights were 6 rounds, Zab would be damn near unbeatable.

    Thats the damn truth...

there is something powerful about being humbled and clawing your way back...not saying Zab has been humbled and he certainly hasn't clawed his way back yet, but if he has used this reality check to get himself right physically and mentally...stranger things have happened for sure.

Yeah why not? I watched Judah-Rivera several hours ago and it's a shame Zab hasn't been the same fighter he was since '05. I'll never forget the Spinks-Judah rematch and I actually have that fight.
