Andre Dirrell in terms of natural gifts is possibly top 5 boxers in the world.

However there are some weaknesses in his game. I believe he relies too much on his natural gifts and tries to play around in the ring as if to embarrass his opposition rather then actively trying to beat his opponent. Against Froch it took the point deduction for him to get serious. Against Abraham he went into the fiht with a great gameplan but there was still times where he was dancing playing to the crowd ect. This was evident early on in hos career. To focused on being pretty then finishing matters early.

Against Cunningham I saw a Dirrell who was very business like. Im wondering if being around true professionals like David Haye and Mayweather is going to not only mature himself but also his style.

If Dirrell vs McGee is signed, i predict a very business like Dirrell who will be more powerful and streamlined in his approach then before.

would like to see him be more aggressive. he wastes his talent, hand speed, and punching power.

I can see the same thing actually. When I saw just a small clip of him sparring at the Mayweather gym, it looked like he was working more on sitting down on his punches too and using similar moves as Mayweather off the ropes.

We may in a few fights so Dirrell even try to walk down a top level opponent in a fight instead of moving

Agreed. His power is probably top in the division. Does like to use it though

Really. Can i see that vid? Its about economy of movement. Mayweather moves because he has to. Dirrell sometimes moves just because he can which wastes energy.

yeah that's what I think Dirrell will learn from Floyd also. And the sparring video was from Mayweather's live workout after he sparred Omar Henry :fire I can't find the rest of the workout though. When Floyd was on the bag, he told the camera man to film some of Dirrell's sparring

Dirrell looks like a wasted talent. He relies on his speed and reflex. He is 29-30, he has no belt and he is not in line for a championship fight... Talent wise, he should probably diserve a fight like that, but since he has no fan base, he is the perfect example of a high risk low reward opponent. He should then be forcing a fight, but he as been picky lately and therefore made pretty bad decision in my opinion.

I wouldn't use the term 'excited', more 'interested'.

Top five in the world in talent?

Only if you're talking about his clown acting talent.

Boxing wise hes nowhere near top five.

Unless you have his nuts deep in your throat.

Which knowing the OP he probably has.

I'm guessing he'll look the same. Unless he's got some news tats or hairstyle.

He's a hypejob who crumbled under pressure against both Froch and Abraham. He is talented, but weak mentally.

I can't believe this guy still has any fans :patsch
