Anyone else exited to see Ward take a beating against Kovalev?

Obama is so non chalant about far too many issues.

 

More than a few brothers around here call him a lot worse than that Oreo is one of the nicer nicknames for him. They all were happy to claim him once he was about to become president, but these were the same guys who'd routinely call out mixed kids as not being black in school. Now a decent chunk of them feel betrayed and don't like him at all.

Like I said, maybe this region doesn't apply to the rest of the U.S. But where else you gonna find a city councilman arrested for murder that runs, still gets elected, and draws a paycheck while he's in the slammer? And, oh yeah, dude was black, too.

I suppose if he were white, they'd have given him a raise while they were at it?

 

I am excited Kovalev is finally making real money. Plus his opposition has been superb, so he is going full force into hall of fame territory.

Hey dummy, research Tiesha Miller! 19 year old black girl. Got in a argument and left the house. The family was concerned for her and called the Riverside police. The police found her asleep in her car, in a parking lot. The police noticed she had a pistol on her lap. They rocked the car and tapped on the windows trying to wake her. Finally after several minutes of trying they bashed the window in. Startled Tiesha reached for the gun and the police promptly killed her. Police were observed giving each other high fives after the incident!

Several weeks later a white man, in an RV takes the same police department on a car chase for 3 hours. Once the man is stopped, he exits the RV swinging a handgun, ranting and raving for 20 minutes. He is taken into custody alive and unharmed!

So the question is, why would they not give young Tiesh Miller the same consideration as the white man. Did Tiesha present a more dangerous threat at the time the police filled her with bullets? Why didn't the police try to pop the lock on the car door? It's obvious that she was sound asleep and moving the car did not wake her.

Your assumption that blacks act differently around cops than whites is wrong! People of all races act out from time to time, it just seems that when white cops are confronted with blacks, they have no tolerance for BS! You are correct in saying don't do stupid sh#t when confronted by the police and don't commit crime! I agree 100% but, police need to not react so quickly with lethal force too!

 

So honestly speaking, you believe that the Hopkins that lost to Kov was better than the Kessler and Froch that Ward beat? Hops is a special kind of fighter and not to many like him come through. I just don't see too many 49 year old guys better than Kessler and Froch when Ward beat them.

 

Those are rare instances though. Cops can be trigger happy regardless the racial group in front of them.

 

Well, Kessler and Froch are one dimensional boxers/brawlers, brawlers are limited in their abilities and overall career, I would actually favor a 40 plus year old Hopkins over Kessler or Froch. Those two guys will never outsmart the professor BHop

 

If its a slow boring fight I favor Ward to win a UD

If its a fast paced fight with lots of pucnhes being thrown I favor Kovalev.

Ultimately this fight will be decided on who cantrols the tempo of the fight.

 

At this rate, Ward will be accepting the Kovalev fight for November 2019. :yep

Hops didn't look like his old self when he faced Kov! Perhaps it was Kov that made him look bad more so than age. At any rate we can't go wrong with either Ward , Kov or Hops! All are special fighters in my book!

 

Agreed! It will come down to who can fight their fight. In my opinion, Kov can make more mistakes and take the risks more than Ward. Ward doesn't have the one punch power to change the tenor of the fight. Kov does! ward can't get caught too many times with flush shots from Kov. One flush shot from that beast and Ward is down and maybe out. Should be exciting to see if Ward can disarm Kov or can Kov get his big shot to land flush. I love these types of fights!:bbb

 

Sometimes I wonder, what if the guys were white instead of black? Would the result be the same. Would the public outcry be the same? For example, how do you think the public would have reacted if Tryvon Martin was a 17 year old, unarmed white kid that got shot by a 28 year old black man after being chased through a neighborhood for several block? You honestly believe the black man would have be let go that same night and not charged until a huge public outcry? Be honest now! what does your heart tell you would happen?
