ODLH could have possibly thrown in 30 mil at some off sea betting line and made some more dough to offset his loss on saturday
The Pacquiao haters are at it again. They will never accept that he is truly one of the greatest fighters who fight anyone put in front of him despite insurmountable odds. :nono
Sandman, Manny is the best, no doubt about. A beast at 147? NO! If that was the case, he would stay and beat the elite at welter. In the words of Mr. Roach, when asked about a Margarito fight, "I'm brave but I'm not stupid." So lets be real, Oscar is a shot fighter.
Pac did a great job. That's not the issue. Oscar clearly **** the bed. He didn't even try to give Pacquiao a fight. Pacquiao responded appropriately, by beating the living **** out of him. It's not an either-or, mutually exclusive situation. It can be true that both Pac did a great job and also Oscar **** the bed. In fact, it is true.
If Pac signs with GBP in the coming months, I'll have my doubts over the legitimacy of the fight. But until that happens, Oscar just got outclassed in a division too low for him, against a fighter too good for him at this point of his career.
I agree completely with your post. Pavlik/Hopkins seemed more "real" than this WWE event structured by DLH. I don't care what everyone else says, I didn't pay for that CRAP and sure am glad.
The under card sucked but the only reason that the fight was dissapointing was because De La Hoya was weight drained and is simply getting older.
Good as PAc performed on the night, its clear Delahoya was hugely affected by going down in weight and at his age.
ODLH is too arogant to look that bad on purpose. He didn't expet Pac to be that good. He thought Pac was going to brawl with him, but Pac boxed the **** out of him.
I thought it was a cracking card. I had a great night of boxing in the UK. Started with a couple of fights on ITV4 at 8-10. Then the Khan fight on Sky box office at 10. Then flicked onto ITV3 to watch the Froch v Pascal fight. Then back to Box office for the Pac v Oscar undercard. I thought there was some cracking fighters on display. DLH did not throw the fight in any way. Not taking anything away from Pac but Oscar was wieght drained.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, I thought I was the only one on the board who noticed this. Oscar threw the fight without a doubt in my eyes. He purposefully took shots, did not parry (of which he is a master) and purposefully threw nothing with any heat. I've watched the fight several times now and I'm convinced this was bull****.
I think there is some truth to the statement that DLH might've known that his body wasn't responding properly leading up to the fight. I mean you look at his facial expression leading up to the bell and he doesn't look like a confident man who is about to put a beat down on a smaller guy. He actually looked worried. Now Pacman on the other hand.......
Ok, who's next at 147 for Pac.. Since weight class doesnt apply. Why not Margarito or Paul Williams. **** even a Clottey or a Cotto. Come one come all, line em up. Pac will knock them down with the straight left.
