Anyone else find it crazy that Mayweather fought Maidana 2 times?

Probably would have fought him 3 times if he could have gotten away with it

 

The first fight was very close and controversial to some, Maidana acted pretty disrespectful of Floyd and carried on acting like he won the fight

I liked that he rematched him, Maidana gave him his hardest fight since Castillo and like Castillo he gave him another go

Not to sound like a complete ***** but if he didn't rematch him he would have taken lots of **** for ducking Maidana

Truth be told I had fight 1 7-5 and 6-6 the two times I scored it, very close fight

Fight 2 he won clearly but it was not impressive

 

Primary reason: The 2nd fight was an easy sell. The first fight was action packed and made ppl believe Maidana could pull off the upset. Selling any other opponent (including Khan) to the Hispanic fanbase on Mexican independence was gonna be a struggle

 

Khan don't fight in September last time I checked

No it isn't. Khan said himself that he wouldn't be ready for a September fight.

After the first fight, everyone was saying that he should give maidana a rematch , but that he would be too scared to. Also at this time, everyone was claiming that if he fought khan, it would be a cherry pick. So He rematches maidana, and all of a sudden that turned into a cherry pick, and he should have fought the other cherry pick, which turned into a duck once he didn't fight him. I'm far from a Mayweather fan, but some of you guys are crazy . No matter what he does, you guys will change your criticisms of him. Id love to see him fight khan, and I guarantee if he doesn't fight khan next, he ll be bashed for it. If he does fight khan, he ll be bashed, and ppl will say he should fight Thurman. If he fights Thurman, it will turn into he should fight Lara. If he fights Lara, it will be he's scared of Cotto. Look at the Canelo fight, most fans, including myself, never thought Floyd would fight him. Once he made that fight, I couldn't hate on him. He stepped up and fought a top young fighter. As soon as he beats him, it's a cherry pick, Canelo was too young, Canelo was overrated, etc etc.

If people (like many on this page at the time) didnt make a fool of themselves by yelling "Maidana was robbed", then Mayweather would never had fought him in a rematch.
