After the first scorecard was read? I got a deja-vu of Rios/Abril. I got real nervous for Dawson and was very relieved when the other judges had common sense.

I was...I was going for Hopkins too...I'm glad they got it right...I had it closer though; 115-113 for Dawson.

I hate that 25 years from now people will pull the "Hopkins still got the bad end of a MD" rather than watching the fight and seeing it for the 10-2 or 9-3 Dawson performance that it was.

I honestly never felt he was getting robbed. I just thought the judge was blind as a bat. I know that the recent string of highway robberies should have told me otherwise, but frankly, bhop has never been the beneficiary of bad judging.

    tavors cloud
    paul williams
    manny pacman
    brandon rioss
    james kirkland

just to now a few all got gifts in there recent fights. hopkins loss the fight 8rds to 4rds in my scorecard. but he could have got the gift to me, hopkins never gets a gift to me but they will rob him. he should only have his 1st career loss and rjj loss and chad fight.he was robbed in the 2 taylor fights and joe cal.

HOW COME HOPKINS NEVER GET THE GIFT ??

I dont know. good question. I do know that it reinforces his "me against the world" metality, and general hatred of the system in boxing, let alone the greater american system.

You can't gift someone that throws combination headbutts mid-fight and doesn't get warnings for them. That was his "gift" right there.

i sure did...only gave Hopkins 2 rounds, that 11th round was a gift at best he didint do anything....Never seen a guy get dominated like that in a long time and just lose a MD..judges suck...funny thing is the HBO commentators knew who would have the crap card

I was actually expecting a split decision. That first card was no surprise.
And I'd say I was more hopeful than nervous.

mine was 10-2, 9-3 at best ....Hopkins wasnt busy enough and Dawson nullified his offense spinning out and taking half steps back

Lemme guess, because Hopkins is one of your favorite fighters?

Sad day when a boxing fan is HOPEFUL for a robbery, when robberies are what kill the sport for most fans.
