Anyone else get the impression that Froch doesnt want to fight Ward ANYWHERE?

From the interview after, Froch didnt seem to want any part of a Ward rematch, regardless of location.

He kinda said he'd fight it in Britain, but even that didnt seem convincing.

I wouldnt be surprised if he fought Groves or a Bute rematch.

he didn't sound to enthusiastic when talking to Kellerman about it..

sounds like he'd rather give Kessler a third fight..

Yep,on the HBO interview thats basically what he said, complaining about Wards style saying"he isnt a brawler" wtf? so he has to be a mindless brawler to fight you now?

No I didn't, I think Froch made it clear he'd fight him in the UK, I'm not sure he would fight him in the States again though.

I don't think it would make a difference where they fight for the record, Ward is straight up better than Froch and wins anywhere it takes place, but I have no doubts Froch fights him in the UK if the offers there. Whether Eddie hearn wants to make the fight, that's more debatable

It's clear he doesn't want to have to deal with a Ward again. Yet for some reason, all of the focus is on why Ward -- you know, the number one guy who's already beaten him easily -- isn't coming to the UK .

Froch doesn't want him. Eddie doesn't want him. The only thing that will change their minds, is if Ward does something they know he won't do (come to the UK). Otherwise, no, they won't be going out of their way to fight him. Even doing the most reasonable thing -- have the fight in Las Vegas -- is something they'll likely pass up on. Eddie will continue having fights for him in the UK and eventually make that British blockbuster with Groves.

There's nothing in it for Froch. He can't beat Ward and i think, deep down, he know's this. He makes more money than Ward, selles more tickets, is on PPV, is more exciting to watch, is more well known and has more options.

It's a bit strange, but Ward needs Froch more than Froch needs Ward even though Ward has a victory over him! Froch is Ward's only option at 168 now whereas Froch can fight Kessler or Groves.

Froch's competition is beyond criticism, and I'm sure he would fight Ward again, but I agree that's he's not very keen to. HOF career already, and there are some good fights out there (Hopkins, Kessler, Bute/Pascal winner, Groves/De Gale), if he wants to go down as a truly great fighter he would do well to beat Ward.

Of course he doesn't want to fight Ward again. Stumbling around like a drunk and eating jabs and uppercuts for 12 rounds isn't fun.

    Fake?

    Im Irish, born and reared.

And I follow boxing, not nationalities, and as such see that Ward is the man in the division.
Im just saying that Froch didnt seem too enthused in the interview about fight Ward anywhere.

Its not ducking, but he probably knows he cant beat Ward.

Why fight a guy in front of 1000s of your own fans when you feel that you'll be beaten?

Froch looked like a fighter who just finished a 12 round war versus another world class fighter. Nothing less, nothing more.
