Anyone else getting frustrated at pundits sitting on the fence with the Haye vs Harrison "public execution?"

Lennox Lewis is the latest to sit on the fence saing Haye is the better boxer but Audley has the desire and it'll be a close fight...

Jamie Moore and Ryan Rhodes, guys I massively respect, honestly thinking Audley has a good chance, one of them even described it as a 50/50 fight for christs sake. Monte Barrett would beat the **** out of Audley and I mean that in the most respectful way possible to both guys.

Are these people serious? Why can't people be matter of fact about the fight and tell it how it is...

Audley had the amateur pedigree but david haye had it as an amateur and has consolidated that pedigree in the pro ranks.

Have any pundits actually not sat on the fence?

What's the problem? It would seem audley has the equaliser in his left hand. On paper of course you would predict a haye win, but all it takes Is one punch for audley. Not that I want him to win. Haye hasn't really taken flush from a fully fledged heavyweight yet, so what happens if and when he does? This added to skills that audley does posses is what makes it a 50-50 for a lot if people. I dint see what is frustrating about it

I can understand people saying Audley has a punchers chance, but a good one? It's not like Audley has never been brutally knocked out and Haye doesn't have speed and power in abundance.

I'd understand it if it was unlikely that Haye would knock audley out himself and be boxing to a decision win, and audley actually had some form.

He won prizefighter, big deal, knocked out sprott who was beating him up until then. If he fights like Audley has always fought like as a pro then he won't have the opportunity to land that sucker punch in the 12th...

It's like putting Michael Sprott up against Haye and ssying it's a 50/50 fight or ****ing tyson fury, fury would probably beat Harrison too...Or some bloke in the pub who got 999 on a punch machine in yates because of Hayes shakey chin.

Atleast Jim Watt said Harrison will have to not be Audley Harrison for an hour to win...

If Audley wins it would probably be a bigger upset than Rahman beating Lewis or perhaps even Mccall beating Lewis.

it's probably taking 5 minutes of coaxing from whoever's got the microphone for sky to get the soundbite they want. Something like this.

"So who are you picking for Saturdays fight?"

"Haye, Audleys got no chance, he's older, slower, less powerful, less agressive and the best guy he's beat was Micheal Sprott in a fight he was losing"

"Yes, but he's got great power in his left hand, Haye's been down before, if he lands it could be all over"

"yes but what's the chance of that happening? Audley's never pursued a KO aggressively in his life and Haye's too fast and skillful to just stand there and get clumped like Sprott did."

"But you agree Audley has an equalising power shot?"

"if he actually throws it and Haye stands completely still in front of him, yes"

"so there we have it boxer y agrees Audley has a real chance in this, back to you in the studio"

Remember Haye vs Harrison live on Sky box office only £14.95!

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying audley will win, and am well aware of his form, and no one was more gutted than me when he knocked sprite out. But that's that exact Eason you have to give audley a chance 50-50 may be a bit too much, but he is in with a shout, if hate gets sloppy and let's him jn.

the problem is haye even has the bigger punchers chance than audley.

Audley has a far greater chance of getting seriously hurt in this fight than he does of winning. That's what frustrates me about this fight. But yeah I agree it's getting annoying hearing the pundits on sky talk of how this is some real pick-em match up.

Question for anyone who thinks this is 50/50. How much would you bet me at those odds?

i think audley will win, hayes best chance is early on, audley is patient, will wait his time, not go all out and get tired, but if haye gets desparate to impress , leaves an opening gets hurt, and audley is champ.;):good

Audley is so patient he often waits until he's been knocked out and the fight is over before he gets going...
