Also has anyone noticed how Luke Rockhold is very reluctant to return to fighting ? Like Weidman he has no chin at all these days and simply can't take a solid shot from any top level 185/205 lb fighter. Luke is too big for 185 these days but can't really fight at 205 because they are obviously bigger fighters/punchers than middleweights. Guys in a tough spot as he's in his mid 30 's now and his outside modelling gigs etc etc are surely drying up now as he ages and his mma persona is getting ruined by being brutally finished nearly every fight. Every time these 2 guys fight they risk slipping on a banana skin and waking up in the hospital with their brains scrambled thinking about how great they were as fighters 7 yrs ago. There is no fighting father time in these sports. Their both on a downward spiral that is not stopping.

Interesting how certain guys fell off once the USADA testing started.

I watched Stipe vs Cormier 2 the other day and I think DC will take this,,,

I like both fighters, don't really have a favorite, maybe DC because I have watched him talk more but Stipe seems like a great guy too,,,

the first 3 rounds of the 2nd fight I just think DC was scoring more punishing shots and was more dangerous with his short quick shots that Stipe wasn't reacting to quite as well as some of the other guys he's fought.

close fight either way for sure, may best man win.

Weidman managed to get a decent win and inject a tad bit of life back onto his career. But it's only likely going to prolong the inevitable and that's him being brutally KO'd by a top 10 guy again. I like the rematch with Rockhold but I suspect Weidman will pursue other a fight with a top 10 contender next in hopes of lining up another title shot. Rockhold represents a lot of risk and little reward.

Yes Weidman won his recent fight but he looked awful and was only fighting a fringe top 10/15 level fighter who had never beaten anybody. I would pick Rockhold to stop Weidman if they fight. Both guys are not elite level anymore and can't survive damage from top fighters.
