Anyone else here think Jones followed Winky's blueprint against Tito?

Pressuring Tito while putting up the high guard from the opening bell?

I think he did watch too much of the Winky-Tito fight that he thought his defense was as good as that of Winky.

When Winky puts up the guard, there is not even a hole for a sunshine to get through. From the top of his head all the way to his navel, Winky is covered. On the other hand, Tito did pierced thru Jones defense a lot of times and landed from very clean body shots and also to the head.

At this point of his career, I think it is foolish for Jones to try to emulate other fighters' style. You can't teach old dogs new tricks. Good thing he was against a welterweight that night. If that was Kessler or even Pavlik, nighty night RJ.

Jones and Wright are good friends, and Jones helped Wright get some exposure by getting him a spot on some of his PPV undercards. So I'm not sure if Jones was the one who helped Winky to have that style or not, because in his prime he certainly didn't need that style. Also, I heard that Ike Quartey taught Winky that style too, so I don't know if Jones copied Quartey or not.

Jones, Wright, and Hopkins followed De La Hoyas blueprint for the first 8 rounds, but all got more agressive in the later rounds unlike de la hoya
