DREAM has no fighters. Don't expect it to hold many events this year or to be even around for that much longer.
I know it's a shame that K-1 and DREAM are both dying and Sengoku is already dead. Hopefully this new JMMA promotion OneFC will rise up and do what DREAM and Heros failed to do and become the next Pride.
I was searching but they don't seem to have an official website yet but the asian camp EvolveMMA(http://evolve-mma.com/) tweeted about there first show on September 1st and there is a rumour about them on MiddleEasy. Apparantly they have HUGE financial backing and are looking to conquer MMA in not just Japan but in all of Asia. It sounds pretty legit, ere's the quote from MiddleEasy: 'An MMA organization called 'One Fighting Championship' is starting in Asia, and it appears to have some massive money backing them. The organization has one goal: to dominate MMA in Asia and they will have their first event on September 3rd in the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Expect a lot of your favorite Japanese fighters to make the transition to this new organization. Remember where you heard it first.'
Wow this is very interesting. Only one teensy weensy problem unless they have some serious cash to throw at fighters especially heavyweights it wont get off the ground. All the fighters of any note are in the UFC and that includes SF. If they can blend in the pro wrestling element that PRIDE did when they first started who knows. But they've got a very tall order.
i personally think it will be interesting cuz they might find the hidden talents in central asia too and maybe even africa there is a lot of potential for it to be good like Pride
med defintly, ufc aint that good, I miss the pride days when prime shogun, wanderlei, yamamoto , fedor and cro cop were as exciting as it gets :hat but now ufc is just all about holding crabing wrestling bbooooorrrrrrriiinnnnnnggg:fire
I agree they should put them for free themselves, but when i was new to MMA I was able to watch 95% of past big fights of all promotions, especially on one site, all in streams.
Scurla, when was the last time you made a single positive comment about anything that Dana White or the UFC has done? :hat
:huh What the **** do you want man, someone to TEVO every fight and send you a hard copy next day fed ex? If you don't have cable and don't want to download them, how the hell is it that you expect to see PPV fights? This is exactly the same as it is for boxing or movies or wrestlemania; you either pay for it or you download it or you go to a bar or you say "it doesn't matter enough for me to make any effort, I'm not that big of a fan". Seriously, if you're willing to watch it on youtube then why not just download the torrent or watch it on mmacore.com?
Maybe your interest is waning because you care more about names and UFC bashing than you do about good fights. When the least entertaining fight on the card is a Cowboy Cerrone fight, it's a pretty good ****ing card. The Stout/Edwards KO was great, the Herman fight was a barn burner, the Munoz/Maia fight was close and really well fought, the Florian fight was pretty decent and the main event delivered except that the ref didn't stop it (he certainly could have) and Carwin didn't quit. Not all of the recent strikeforce/Bellator/UFC cards have been good lately, but this one was pretty ****ing good and if you stopped worrying about whether or not you have the fighters' trading card and just watch the match you may actually be happy with what you see.
Some people just like bitching for the purpose of bitching. There's plenty of access to old fights, they're either just too lazy too look or to cheap to pay.
