You are such an idiota. You used to be provide half.decent contributions now you just highlight your low intelligence. Today Whyte is bigger and stronger. That video is older than your girlfriend. 2018 This content is protected GAME OVER
Those were the words dillian Whyte used to describe the offer matchroom made Wilder to fight Whyte. Just saying
Well Wilder never had much stock. He called Dillian a peasant when Whyte generated more money as a fighter... fighting on an island of 65 million at 20 pound PPVs. Wilder deserved nothing more... just saying man.
lool in all fairness I read in an interview that he keeps his neck slim for business shirts and not to be that imposing trap hulk figure around the office. But he does hate AJ.
He’s a good lad, Cutthroat. You both clearly got off on the wrong foot. Really hope you’re a genuine new poster and not just another alt. The more the merrier here but I’m sure you’ll agree it’s not great when a user has several accounts.
I just think a guy who's come so close to losing on several occasions is taking a big risk playing the waiting game. Beat Parker thanks to a very dodgy knockdown and was absolutely out of it at the end. Could have lost the first Chisora fight and many people think he did lose it. Was losing the second fight until he landed a shot from nowhere. If he'd lost two of those three he's nowhere near Joshua and in all likelihood not getting another shot.
I agree with you here, Tony. I’m conflicted when it comes to Whyte...I really didn’t like him for ages. I could see he was a fighter rather than a boxer, and that Hearn was building him up into something I felt he wasn’t. Imo he lost the first Chisora fight, drew with Parker and he’s beat a past it Helenius where he demonstrated really poor ring IQ and an inability to finish his opponent who wasn’t interested. To me, he’s not improved in his skill set much, his balance is poor for starters and his defence, he still takes needless shots. I saw a different Whyte in that second Chisora fight though. Patient, unemotional, clinical...he waited and waited to land that left hand and he was happy to coast through the fight knowing he was going to land it. It takes some power to bingo any version of Chisora. To quote Adam Smith, I like his story. He’s a real fighting man and he’s savvy with it. Wilder has built a career on explosive speed and power, and just knowing how to land that one big shot to finish a fight. I think Whyte may have tapped into that too.
Unlike Wilder and unlike Lucas Browne, Whyte doesn't wait all day for that one shot. He breaks his opponent down with powerful body shots, a great jab to knock the rythm out of the opponent and earn points, and a vicious right cross.... A right cross that had Chisora very hurt in the first round, do you remember twentyman? He hurt Chisora in first round with a strong right cross. Whyte comes to be victorious by either stoppage or boxing if he feels his opponent isn't skillful. He doesn't come to be a one dimensional, one hit wonder... although he has that freakish power if it needs to be done. Like you said - takes some power to put down Chisora... and put him down for good.... And flooring Parker which sounded like a gunshot
Landed a shot out of nowhere? Erm... Ok Tony. Yeah that Dillian sure pulls left hooks out of his arse. I get suprised everytime I see a bodyshot from the body snatcher too. I jump out of my seat with suprise... where did that come from! Omg he went to the body..
Well, it's a fairly common expression. He was losing the fight and landed a huge shot which in truth hadn't looked like it was coming. My point still stands; it's a risky decision to take when you're a guy who comes so close to losing so often. Don't get me wrong; Whyte's a good fighter and I enjoy watching him, and I genuinely believes he deserves a world title shot. But he's a loss waiting to happen at the moment and I think it's happening soon.
I don't know mate. He's never going to be Usyk, but his skills are more refined than before. He's clearly worked on technique and combinations a good deal. He just looked so raw and messy a few years ago. There's a lot more coherence in his work, these last few fights especially. You're not going to see Hopkins-level ring IQ or flashy skills, but he has brought a lot of attributes up to a reasonable level which should allow him to take advantage of some of his more natural strengths.
But so what if he loses? So what man? He wants to be in good fights that make sense... he has repeated many times SO WHAT if I lose? I want to make memories and good fights for the fans but at the same time money has to be right and ranking. That punch did not come out of no where man... your popcorn carton must have obscured your view because he was throwing it all night... Chisora was ducking it and telegraphing it until Whyte by his own admission post fight said "I knew he was ducking it everytime I lead witht he overhand right... so I faked the right then went with the left and caught him" It was an in-fight adjustment on the fly, was not some luck shot... you are mistaken him for wilder that throws and throws till something lands. He has practised that catch/overhand + left hook for many fights, and many camps. You want Whyte to lose, that's fine.... if you don't support him. He has happy with losing.. he knows his limitations.
My point is that Whyte is taking a risky strategy because a loss or two for him puts him well down the pecking order for the biggest fights. Look at Parker for example. Nearly lost to Ruiz. Nearly lost to Hughie. There comes a point where a guy like him will lose, and if he loses he then ends up miles down the queue and potentially never gets the moneyspinner that is a Joshua fight. As I said, I like the guy. I'm just saying I think it's a risk to suggest that you'll still end up with the biggest payday you could get if you keep coming close to losing all the time. At some point you need to cash your chips in, and the question is when should you do it.
I get what you mean, but that is another admirable quality about Whyte… he always backs himself… and he doesn’t mind risking it all… he had taken some pretty big risks thus far…and came through better each time. To be honest, in this division .. every fight is a risk… a punch from aheavyweight can come at any moment… but Whyte like AJ and others… they are train to minimise that risk… they don’t leave themselves open for it… but it can happen… Browne was a classic example… Whyte fought smart and picked his shots to break down Browne clinically. Wheareas Browne waited all night for that one shot which was never gonna come against somewhat smart and seasoned like dillian. And for that reason, and his recent display of patience and dedication you can expect him to hold his own and come through against most opposition in the current division. He is strong. When should he cash his chips? That the interesting question, but I admire him for not rolling over for chump change… he backs himself… and it makes things a bit tricky now but where there is a will there is a way…. No one would have imagine he would come this far…e specially after that devastating lose to AJ… And you never know where he will end up by end of year… but sitting around like the breazeales and the ortiz’sis not the way to go. I admire him so much for his integrity and not rolling over for small money and a huge money fight…. Good for him and we’ll see what happens this year… he’ll get another shot I have no doubt.
I gain more respect for Whyte every time he fights. This guy has come from nowhere and he is arguably a top 5 heavyweight, he certainly is on form at least. He gets beaten by Joshua in the first fight and made some decent money, rather than go on the lash and spend it all on bling he invested in himself. He starts training with the sports scientist's in Loughborough and you can actually see this dedication pay off. His boxing is better, his physique is better, stamina is better and his performances are good, he's in entertaining fights. He's carved out his place in British boxing through hard work and some very smart decision making. What is not to like about this guy?
