I've actually never seen any of his fights. I've only seen the footage of Judah stopping him, as well as these 'highlights': [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9b5J1q2U86s[/ame] How good was he, really? I remember people used to talk about him as if he were a technical, boxer type. What was his defence like? It probably would have been interesting to see Mayweather fight someone with that sort of style.
lol :tired he was awful. boring basic boxer who stunk out arenas with his running. however he's had some decent fights towards the end of his career. the latimore fight is worth checking out:good
No, and Floyd would've easily beat him, 1 think people forget or take for granted with PBF is that if you can't punch or all you do is slap, he will walk you down and punish you, IMO he would've got inside and beat Spinks up.
I think it's cool that Cory kept the Spinks name out there a bit longer. Father and son champions don't come along often. Yes, I do miss Cory Spinks.
I disagree. He didn't get what he got because his name. That guy fought hard to the top. I remember him being on ESPN Friday Night fight all the time. He was pretty much a Friday Night fighter. He didn't have a easy route to the top, especially with his style of zero punch power. At the end of the day he was a pretty good fighter who was well skilled, just didn't have pop and because of it stunk up the joint at times. But he was a good fighter, not too sure about his jaw though... but still he won his titles, beat margo, beat zab the first fight but then got KTFO and afterwards started to slack off and became a shell of his former self, getting that jaw broken.
I miss him cuz everytime he fights theres a good chance he will lose. I mean the guy doesnt punch hard everyone dogs on him for that but yet hes able to beat these socalled bigger or stronger men its fun to watch his defensive abilities!
