Anyone else miss the light-blue canvas floor for big fights?

Seems ever since Pac-Margarito every big fight has a dark blue canvas.

The old light-blue mat made the screen look much brighter and automatically you got the feel it was a big fight.

I don't know, call it nostalgia, with the darker floor I don't get that feeling anymore.

    Anyone else noticed this?

Hasn't Showtime been using dark blue rings for a few years now?

Can't say it's something I notice heaps...but I do like the lighter blue ones.

Probably. I don't remember many big fights on Showtime except Tyson and Tszyu's though. Those guys biggest fights were on the light-blue canvas.

Hmm, I just went back and googled some fights, HBO were using dark blue back in 2005 for Pac-Morales. DLH-Mayorga, Mosley-Vargas used dark blue in 2006 aswell.

    Pac-Barrera and Marquez I were on light blue in 2003, 2004. As were DLH-Hopkins, Mosley-Winky in 2004.

They probably changed it in 2005. Wow, I guess I didn't notice it aswell as it's never really bugged me until recently.
