I liked your "plans" (if they were yours to do) for Jacobs, hard to argue with that lay down. BUT, when watching FNF's last Fri. I too was wondering about a battle between him and Greene, which IMO, Jacobs wins. I think that victory would gain him some notoriety. ****, man, you know I like me some MW's anyways, Jacobs is one I feel safe to be excited over. (then again, I was excited as **** over Vic Ortiz too, obv. not a MW though.)
I hadn't caught on to the fact you had been seen most of his career. Now I know where to ask for my info!:good:yep
The thing is if Greene "gets it", I think he's a very very tough fight for Jacobs. Likewise on Peter Quillin. I think I'd rather see Greene vs Quillin first and then have Jacobs fight the winner (since Danny probably has more notoriety than both guys). I think if I was representing Greene or Quillin, I'd be pushing hard for a Duddy fight in NY. Duddy's fanbase will bring in a large gate (and Duddy almost always has his fights televised in NY) and Duddy is easy to beat. Quillin vs Duddy could be "The Battle for New York" and you can go from there.
My God, someone who realizes the value of a hard fought loss? Are you over 70? :admin With this thread, Arriba has established himself as the booradley of Danny Jacobs.
Fine points, and a good read there.:yep Yeah, I see what you're sayin' that Jacobs has more notoriety than those two, just seems for what it's worth, Greene IS quite popular on the East Coast. I say good win there.
Agreed, and the is a GOOD thing IMO. I quite glad to know we have a resident expert with Arriba's posting skills to be the go to guy on an EXCITING up and coming MW...who is goin' old school and fighting atleast once a month.:yep
Yo' Arriba....Now I know 3. If no threads are rockin' on him, and something I'd love to know comes up, expect a PM or two, if you don't mind.
Jacobs, IMO looks to be the goods, and he's climbing "the ladder" like a man on a ****in' mission. But, do you think he's ready for that? He'd HAVE to go to Germany. **** if Griffin could go over there and do as well as he did, why not.:hey
Arriba....is Jacobs Golden Boy inked? I know the FNF's was promoted by Oscar, and he was on the PPV too.
There's a lot to like about Jacobs; fast hands, good punch variety, nice feet, decent defense, et. However, Friday night I saw one thing that bugged the **** out of me. He spends to much time on the ropes and in the corners! It doesn't really matter if he settles in at 160 or 168. Pavlik, Kessler, Andrade, and Bute will make you pay, and pay, and pay for that particular habit. BUT, the kid only has 17 fights. The jury is still out on him. I'd like to see him against Rubio, Ornelas, Griffin, someone along those lines pretty soon. That would give us a much better idea where he's really at.
