I am not completely sold. Ward is really good fighter and a winner, but he seemed tentative on the outside, probably becuase he was aware of greens power. If he can beat a fast outside boxer mover like dirrell than no one can really deny his talent.
It was a shutout (Though I gave Green round 1). I agree that his short arms seems to have him at a little bit of a disadvantage on the outside. But he's effective still, and great in the middle-inside range.
What's crazy is no matter how much crow the OP eats, we're only attacking a symptom and not the disease itself. This person, given the tone of their post, most likely thinks Green is a better win than Kessler! atsch
i was sold when i saw him vs Christoper Holt on ESPN (his 5th fight) and they showed his boxing pedigree. Saw his stance, style, confidence, and technique - its easy to recognize true greatness. Its like none other ive ever seen. He's the most consistent & versatile boxer you'll ever see and he looks to win every round. Watch ANY of his fights and listen the commentators just totally "compliment bomb" him over and over. Its for some strange reason.... His fight vs Allen Green was a carbon copy of his dismantling of Edison Miranda. Ward is showing that he was the most under-rated fighter going into the tournament, and finally acknowledged as the "favorite", after being the only fighter who has 2wins/0 losses in the tourney, after the fact. It really doesnt bother me if Ward haters keep on hating, they just sound even more moronic when they predict him to lose. Youtube fight predictors are also learning not to predict a loss on him lol. I think the ONLY supermid that could give him a serious fight is Lucian Bute. It would be a close fight, but Ward would come out on top and show that being a multi-dimensional fighter is the way to victory versus every style....
