I cant remember the exact wording, but he went into detail about how Manny has now made the necessary adjustments and is therefore not going to be Knocked down again.

He seemed very sure about it and went into specifics as to why.

What made it worse, is 5 mins earler i told my girlfriend how Roy Jones is a great Analyst and always makes great insights and Analysis.

Anyway, Marquez made Manny, then Roy then Me all look silly a few moments later.

Yeah I remember this. Roy 'the expert' Jones educating all the thick co-commentators on boxing only to be be proved completely wrong thirty seconds later.

I noticed it too. That's the beauty of boxing. You can spot things, see a fighter adjust, and make a prediction, only to be completely shocked one second later. I remember George Foreman in the Cotto-Torres fight saying something like, "the difference is that Torres can take Cotto's best shot" literally a split second before Cotto dropped him with a straight right hand.

People make mistakes like this all the time. I like Roy Jones as a commentator. And i like the way he laughs at nothing, it makes me laugh too.

"Oh, good shot. He's getting tired now...........ha ha ha"

I like his obligatory laughs also with Lampley's failed attempts at humor

But that is boxing. At the point when Roy said that, Marquez was looking to lure Pac in who wouldn't give him the pleasure, but 30 secords later, he walked right into the trap.

Even SNV didn't see that coming.

What was fantastic about Saturday night was that you had three guys in the commentary box with almost no connection to reality whatsoever.

He made up for it for his post fight comments. They were funny.

    Genuine disbelief in his voice.

    "I was Like: WOW"

Roy got knocked out the same way. Paul Williams got knocked out the same way.

People who fight over confident and over aggressive are open to be countered. People who rely on athleticism and talent can be outsmarted.

Well he is great analyst he was spot on on many things during this fight he could not predict that Pac would be KO like that, not easy to predict something when 2 elite guys are fighting! I really like Roy as a commentator.

yes me too. Thats why when he said it. I completely relaxed as i just assumed it must be true. he sounded so confident.

Maybe pac heard it too haha.

I still love him, but loooking back. It was an idiotic thing to say.

Pac did seem to adjust and looked defensively pretty good before and after the KD but then ran into a punch, actually he did a few times but Marquez was missing allot too

Yeah well he was right, given what was being seen at that time. Manny had taken over the fight, and made adjustments. He THEN made a huge mistake and got knocked the **** out.

That's strange...after the 1st knockdown, even while Pac was having success, I kept thinking that he'd better be careful. I know it may be a bit pretentious to say after the fact, but I swear I had a strange feeling something bad was going to happen after Pac got dropped in the 3rd round.
