Anyone else notice that Lampley did the interviews and not Kellerman?

Kellerman had a problem with his voice.

Kellerman got his tonsils blown out by PWilly...lol (JK)

He had laryngitis & his superior was recieving HOF honors.
(So he couldn't take the night off)

 

I guess Kellerman digested one too many cumshots the night before. It's not like his voice is that good to begin with, only Ledderman has a worse boxing voice.

 

Can someone explain to me the hate for Max? Is it just a follow the leader thing, or something else? I get his personality is kind of hit or miss but by and large the man knows his ****.

 

He acts like a Mr. Know it all, and has that everyones else is wrong, and he's always right attitude. I also dont like the fact he creams his pants when interviewing certain fighters, usually black ones.

Kellerman is, hands down, the worst boxing commentator I've ever heard. Unlike any commentator you could name he never paid any dues, was never a boxing journalist or participant. And it shows.

In sum, I think boxing fans hate him because he's incompetent and unqualified - and because there were SO many other more qualified guys, like Al Bernstein or Steve Farhood, who HBO could have hired.

Al Bernstein - yeah. He was good. Although the last time I saw him he was a wreck...could have been an off-night. I forget what fight it was; PPV I know that...
