Anyone else ridiculously looking forward to brook/porter?

I'm also "ridiculously" looking forward to it.

Like you, I have followed Kell's career from fairly early on, having watched every fight after he first won the British against Barrie Jones. He's my second favourite UK fighter.

The way he ploughed through the top domestic guys with relative ease suggested big things were to come and I too pointed him out to friends as one to watch.

The last couple of years have been very frustrating though, so the thought of all questions being answered in less than two weeks is an exciting one.

To me it seems 50/50; There's no denying Porter looks a beast recently, but I feel Kell is a level above the other guys who have recently travelled across the pond for a whoopin'!

Can't wait to find out, either way.

Super hyped for this. Im a huge Kell fan and really think this will be the time he announces himself as an elite level fighter. Win this and its big fights from here on in!

I'm looking forward to it, two excellent fighter one a proven world level fighter the other hoping to prove he belongs there

 

Brook has got that smooth unrushed way of boxing, but the question is will that same style look plodding and one-paced against an explosive fighter like Porter.

Porter will probably be too quick early on but if Kell can ride the storm he's got the range and composure to pick Porter off down the stretch.

 

I have been trying to get this across for ages but don't think I have managed it.

This is the fight that tells us how good Kell is... IF that smoothness and time to look and pick punches is there he's a threat to just about anyone.. If Porter can get past the jab though I have a feeling he might just be too much...

Come on Kell, would love him to show his the real deal over there in the States. So many exciting fights to have in the states it'd be a massive win.

 

Looking forward to it. Just keep looking back to the first carson jones fight to tell us what we need to know about kell. Hope that he just came in under-prepared for it which was the official line they went with maybe the second fight showed that was the case. Carson's no mug but he's not on the level of porter. Kell looked despondant at times.

Dont usually condone cheating but hope they've got kell on something cause it's clear for me anyway that porter is. They've had years to sort out the drug testing issues when it became apparent that what they were doing wasnt working and yet continued to let it slide. Now some not even hiding it by employing guys like conte.

Kell should be in the shape of his life for it sure the camp has been forever including a keep busy fight to break it up. Kells quite a skilled fighter drug use or not from porter he should still have enough to cause porter problems....unlike rose/rees etc. Feeling a bit more optimistic about this one....
