I have always been a huge Klitschko fan...Wladimir is actually what got me into boxing, 6 or 7 years ago!

However, I am a big Chagaev fan too...the guy just has a very toughguy style. He's sort of half counterpuncher, half-slugger. Not to mention his awesome amateur pedigree.

I'm hoping Chagaev at least makes some fireworks in this one :good

Chris Arreola would murder Chagaev and so will Wladimir.

For this fight, yeah, I'll root for him seeing how he's a serious underdog.

Arreola ****ing sucks. I gurantee Chagaev would give his slow ass a boxing lesson.

What is good about him again? Arreola is overweight, slow, crude, has no defense, and brawls. He was rocked early in the fight by both Travis Walker and Mccline.

I would love to see Arreola vs Chagaev... better paired fight than, Klitschko vs Chagaev.

    Prediction: Chagaev would beat Arreola

I'd like to see him turn up to win but let's face it- if he does then he'll just keep defending the belts. I think the best thing for boxing right now is a Wlad win. That way we'll get to see some interesting bouts in the future. Obviously Wlad will fight his mandatories first, should he win, but he may just fight some bigger names afterwards than Chagaev and his promoters will set up.

I dunno man I think Arreolas a fat joke but Chagaevs nothing special. He almost lost to unheard journeyman with no credible wins in his last fight and was on his way to losing if it didn't get stopped and go the cards after like 5-6 rounds. in fact i think he got a gift decision in those rounds. Carl davis Drummons is a first class bum and he was beating Chagaev in Chagaevs last fight. I ain't big on fatty Arrealos but he woulda knocked Drummond out in the first or second and certainly wouldn't have been arguably beaten like Chagaev did so as of right now I'd have to say Arreola would beat Chagaev with ease but 3 years ago it woulda been a diff story.

Chagaev winning is the last thing heavyweight boxing needs.
Although, the reaction at the forum would be priceless, it's not worth it.

    GO KLITCHKO!

The thing that annoys me about this fight is that people are already excusing Chagaev for losing.

Chagaev is one hell of a talented boxer, one of the few guys to legitimately beat Felix Savon in the amateurs and a guy who gets the job done, he doesn't need to be excused.

This fight in my view is a Top 3 to 5 win for Wlad, I think Chagaev would beat any other HW with the exception of Vitali in the division.

Exactly what I was thinking. Its just been one cancelled fight after another, whether truly his fault or not.

I'm a fan of Wladimir but if he was to lose, I'd rather see someone who fights regularly beat him. Doesn't mean I don't like Chagaev, my favorite HW is David Tua but I wouldn't want to see him beat any champion if he doesn't fight regularly.

Tua's inactivity seems by choice, Chagaev's seems always to be centered around medical reasons, and there is nothing to tell me that this will ever change.

So no, not rooting for Chagaev. Though for beating Valuev I'm a fan for life :yep
