Anyone else score that for Lebedev?

Had it for Lebedev by 2 rounds but only 1 point

 

116-111 Gassiev was my card. I thought he won pretty clearly.

 

If you want to make a bad fight at CW just introduce Bellew into the mix. It'll then definitely be a mismatch one way or another with one of the divisions top talents beating him up or him beating up on a BJ Flores type kind of guy.

 

Maybe I'm a bit bias as I like Lebedev but I actually thought he'd done enough in the latter half and I'm not sure Sanchez was too confident either?

 

Popeye loss this match by 2 rounds. He got outboxed.

 

Too many posters taken in by punchers.

For the majority of the fight Lebedev controlled the pace, landed the cleaner punches, and had Gassiev puzzled.

Gassiev may have had Lebedev in trouble due to his power, and he may have won his rounds more clearly, but he never won 8 rounds.

 

Definitely going to have to rewatch this one.... Some interesting cards here. Had Gassiev winning fairly wide, but looking back there were a couple of close rounds that maybe could have gone Lebedevs way.

 

I also thought Lebedev should have won, glad to see I am not the only one. Personally I prefer punches landing the heavier shots but Lebedev fought in the pocket and scored effectively, he even stunned Gassiev once and plenty of his own power shots.

Several people who I respect had Gassiev winning 8 rounds though so I watched it again, this time scoring rather than watching purely for enjoyment purposes and still had Lebedev winning.

 

What was your score?

 

I think it was similar to CSTs.

 

So on par with mine. I guess I have to rewatch it again as well, because there was a few close rounds, that could arguably have gone to Lebedev. I'll probably rescore it later on and see if anything changes.

Yes exactly what I thought,when I first read the result on news 24 before I seen the fight,Scott Gilfoid that idiot that always gets things wrong said after the knock down Lebedev was running for the remainder but when I actually saw the fight I couldn't understand where he got that from as Lebedev brought his skills into plays and with his jab and head movement he really turned it round in my view,it was a shame as Lebedev did exactly as Roach told him and it all went to plan except the result,that said it was as you like it to be honest.

 

I can understand how someone might prefer Lebedevs work, but for me Gassiev was just doing too much damage with his punches. The guys a beast. Him against Usyk has to be one of the best fight to make in all of boxing right now.
