Mayweather is to rehearsed on defense in his practice of fending off a come foward fighter out to hunt him.
Only a really special fighter like Chavez or Duran would have a legit chance of cracking Mayweather's defense trying to come foward and suffocate him.

There is'nt anyone like Chavez or Duran in boxing at the moment.

Cotto does nothing special and certainly not at this stage of his career where because of the beatings he took from Margarito and Pacquiao, he doubts himself.

Stamina? Its not even close. Cotto wears down in fights, he's no where near in the upper echelon of greatly conditioned fighters.
Mayweather to go along with all of his skill and physical attributes is a highly conditioned athlete to go along with it.

Cotto does'nt stand a chance unless he were to get lucky landing a big shot, and even that its hard to imagine Mayweather not fending off being hurt.

An existing fighter to beat Mayweather has to have real boxing skill and be fast and quick at center ring. Fast and quick enough to get off first.
When Zab Judah faced Mayweather he was just as fast and quick as Mayweather was, if not faster and quicker.

Judah gave Mayweather all kinds of problems in the first half before he fizzled out as he normally does.

I was just thinking, Manny Pacquiao is quick and fast at center ring, but he's no where near the skillset of a Zab Judah when he was near his prime.
Manny Pacquiao tried to keep his fight with Marquez at center ring, the logic being that he'd toy with a bigger, slower, aged version of Marquez.

Pacquiao could'nt do it. Marquez was to cerebral for him that Pacquiao found himself totally out of his element in attempting to deal with Marquez boxing at center ring.

There is'nt anyone at 154 lbs and below to come close to having the faculties to deal with a great talent like Mayweather.
I dont even like Mayweather and hope Cotto puts him to sleep, but I'm just keeping it real, Mayweather is by far the the best fighter in the sport right now.

This. It's not like the clips showed him implementing a game plan, but it was out of the usual.

I'm not a Mayweather fan, but I respect the hell out of the way he prepares himself for a fight. I bet he walks into camp in better shape than a lot of fighters leave camp.

    Canelo is too green Doc!

He does'nt have the experience necessary to deal with the tricks Mayweather has up his sleeve.

Personally I'd rather Cotto have taken on Canelo. Its a great matchup and it would have sold (Mexico vs Puerto Rico)

Canelo would have dismantled Cotto, then we could have talked about his chances for Mayweather.
