Because I sure as hell am. Golden Boy has an output deal with HBO which they use to try and "manufacture" Boxing Superstars (HBO is also to blame)

Instead of letting the knowledgeable Boxing fans decide who can fight and is legit we have Golden Boy/HBO forcing fighters down our throats who either can't fight a lick or have Glass Jaws or both.

You have Victor Ortiz, Danny Jacobs, and now James Kirkland all three who have Glass Jaws and have been embarrassed in recent fights.

What has happened to the days when the fans could decide who is a superstar like it should be? I am sick and tired of this crap and will be glad when the Golden Boy HBO output deal is expired later this year. Good Riddance.

Yeah, it is interesting the Golden Boy is behind all these glass jawed hype jobs.

Ortiz, Jacobs, sure. But Kirkland under Wolfe pre-lock up wasn't hype.

I don't necessarily think Ortiz was a hype job. He's very talented and has very good skills. But he was young, made a mistake of brawling with a brawler and then showed questionable heart in the stoppage.

Boxing fans are way too quick to lavel someone a hype job for losing.

It's not who he fought, it's how he fought. But you're right, every GBP fighter is hype. Every one. :patsch

There's a reason GBP rarely allows its fighters to fight outside their own stable. They get embarrassed almost every time they do.

They need better talent scouts... and while they're at it, find better matchmakers because they have no idea how to bring a young fighter up the ranks the way The Bobfather and his crew at Toprank can.

Is it not their job to hype fighters?

Don't forget Alvarez. He hasn't been exposed yet, but they've been hyping him up like crazy, not to mention striking dirty deals with the WBC to get this kid a title.

Same thing with Jacobs, he got KOd by Pirog but he's still young and can recover. Plus the stoppage might've been premature since it did look like he was trying to get up.

They get him a title then keep any credible contender away from him for the next few fights so they can milk the cow.
