Haye is fantastic for boxing and has the attitude all boxers should have - go out and fight the best.

Some of the stuff he has been saying lately isn't what I like to hear from boxers, but I suppose he will try to back it up. At least he isn't being hypocritical.

Exactly, thats your opinion, some people like Haye and others don't. But if you don't like him then why make a thread about him that get others talking more about him......you really deep down like him don't ya?

Haye is what is needed at HW, if you are sick of him may i suggest to you a simple remedy. Don't watch his future fights and don't talk about him, problem solved.

And John18 thats a great point, Haye has always fought good competition and isn't afraid of a loss, i can see him losing at HW imo, but i also see him coming back strong.

David Haye is an entertaining son of a *****. Right now I am very much enjoying his career. I hope the clash with Klitschko comes off in 2009. It could be quite spectacular.

i dont understand why people hate the guy so much when hes the only exciting prospect in the heavyweight division. he may get ko'd by klitscho, he may ko klitscho himself who knows??? but what you can guarantee is a bloody good fight and a good spectacle, which to be honest doesnt exist in the division at the minute.

I love Hayes Personality, his skills behind the mic are the best I seen in a heavyweight in awhile. Fighters like Wlad, Chagaev, Valuev, and all the other Euro's in the top 10 are very boring and dont have much to say, so there's no real hype behind them. Haye's chin bothers me, he seems to get floored by average punches, which doesnt bode too well for him at Heavyweight. Time will tell what he becomes, my perdiction, another knockout victim of Wlad or Peter.

Thinking about it thats exactly how people felt before Clay - Liston. Clay was a loud mouthed upstart and generally disliked. People soon forget that.

The one think Ali did though, like Haye is attempting now, is to get people talking about boxing. Love him or loath him you want to see his fights whether you want to see him win or lose it doesnt matter a ****. It only matters that people are interested.

    Im not a fan.

Granted he IS the man at 200 but he has done jack **** at heavy to warrant the column space.

If he fought Klitschko i believe it would be a massacre in favour of Wlad.

Haye is good actually.. Just talks a massive amount of ****. For him to expect to jump up to heavy weight and just straight out get a shot at Wlad is kind of dumb also.

why? how is it any different from another undisputed champ moving up a weight class and going after the champ of his new division early or straight away?

it happens all the time, why are people taking such offence to the possibility of it happening here?

For Calzaghe to jump to LHW and expect to get straight in the ring with the ring champion is kind of dumb. Oh, hold on....

For Leonard to jump to middleweight and get straight in the ring with hagler is kind of dumb. Oh, hold on...

For Roy Jones to jump to heavy. Oh hold on...

For Mayweather to.. erm, hold on.

    For... umm.

Looks like its been going on for a while.

Sorry Slothrop, but I've really enjoyed the few fights I've seen of Haye....against Macaroni & the Frenchie.
Just simply a preference, but I like hard punchers. Huggers, slappers, defensive specialists and the sort, put me to sleep.

i dont mind haye. like most say, he draws attention but i think his loyal British contingent are going to be disappointed with his hw campaign. i know he moved his fight date up from november to october.
