He's a tough, durable, SOB. Watching him, though, I felt like I was watching a poor imitation of Sugar Ray Robinson fighting or something. Maybe a hybrid of Meldrick Taylor and SRR.
Im in awe he didn't go down much sooner. Like in rds 2-5 soon. Hope something great happens for him as well as Lucas. Both guys gave great showings of will.
He made me a fan for sure guy has guts,i think Matthysse is number 1 at 140 n Ajose could be number 2 in terms of skill i see him beatin everyone else
Incredible chin & heart! I just hope Matthysse didn't beat the prime out of him. Would ****ing love to see Ajose again. Hopefully he can get some decent fights in the near future.
damndest fight ive seen in a min...the last 2 right hands made me cringe.....both fighters were excellent..my hats off to both
Ya I though he showed a lot. To me that was like seeing miguel acosta for the first time when he lost to Brandon Rios. I didn't know this guy with this level of talent and heart was out there. He has real boxing ability. I definitely want to see him fight again. I think the lay off really hurt him too. It looked to me like it took him several rounds to find his game but by then the damage had already been done. I think if he was sharp and had boxed right from the beginning he would have even had a chance to get the win. As it stands Matthysse is the best guy at 140 lbs though. So no shame in losing to him.
Ajose has fast hands and throws solid combinations, he also moved pretty well when he wanted to. He's a beast.
You must hate Khan. Matthysse is like a more durable, defensively adept, harder-punching version of Maidana.
