Anyone else surpised at Arce KO1 Castillo?

I didn't see that result coming, did anyone think it would go down like that?

I mean I knew Martin had a "semi" retirement but I didn't think he was that shot.

 

Is he shot? I mean, Arce can hit.

Edit: I am surprised though, still.

 

i was surprised of the result, many people i thought (and me as well) have written off arce. i actually thought it would go down to a competitive loss for arce that can be justified by the higher weight and long in the tooth.

Is it just me or is it hard to keep in mind that Arce is still in his early thirties?

 

i dident know that! i thought he was fighting for a longer period of time because i remember him fighting michael carbajal!

 

Yeah, he did! But I think that was Carb's last fight and it was just a great tail-end cherry on top. Arce was WBO champ then, when the title was on shakier grounds than it is now and Carb stopped him. He's had a good long career despite being young.

 

I'm surprised, too. I thought Arce was older and more past it than he really was. Props to him for proving me wrong and taking care of Castillo early!
