he's stopped Casamayor and Diaz in back to back fights. Is he just stronger at 135 or are those fighters taylormade for his style?

It's surprised me quite a bit, to be honest.

He seems very comfortable at this weight, even if I thought the youngr Diaz had more energy in the early going.

I think his power has increased as he's gone up in weight. Usually, the opposite happens. It tells me his body needed the move up. His upper body was freaking huge tonight and he does seem to be punching even harder.

not really. he does have power even at 126. it was just under-rated. his speed is also under-rated.

He might be a stronger puncher at 135, plus he's the kind of fighter that really optimizes his natural power through precision and technique, like Joe Louis and Alexis Argeullo.

He's always had pretty good power, he just goes for knockouts more lately for popularity. At least that what he himself says about it.

i predicted a jmm ko over casa and jmm would outclass diaz but would have a hard time with his style. you can dig my old posts if you want.

haven't seen yet the diaz fight but i heard that jmm was great. at least in ESB. :good

Men actually hit their peak physical strength in their 30s as their bodies muscles metabolism slow down and mature.

A mans physical prime in terms of speed and reflexes and stamina are in his 20s, but strength and muscle wise its not until a man is in his 30s that his muscular strength maxes out.

Marquez has slowed down a bit in terms of speed, but as he has gone up in weight he has carried more muscle than he ever has before, and therefore more power. His stamina might not be the same, but he certainly can ****ing hit.
