Anyone else think Cotto/Margarito is going to be one sided.......

Cotto's gonna beat him pretty badly. Cotto's been rocked in fights but never outboxed or beaten up. He was outboxing Shane Mosley!!! He's gonna pretty much hit Margo at will. Set everything up off his jab, short arms or not, his jab is far too quick and strong for Margo. jab, right...left hook up and down -- all night long, or until Margo finally crumbles.

 

I agree.....but what happened with Paul was "PAUL". Williams was relentless himself which placed pressure on Marg who is not use to that. Marg dishes out pressure. Clottely.....Well....Clottley is slick, counter puncher, FAST.....kind of like a Floyd Mayweather who I know would be too much for Marg's style. But Cotto isn't as slick, skilled or as fast as Clottley or Floyd and he doens't have that kind of stamina and pressure style that Paul has. Not to mention Paul is a freak considering he's packing 147 pounds in a 6'1 frame with a crazy wing span. Cotto's gonna have his work cut out for him but if he can stay on his toes, boxing and moveing....giving Marg angles and countering off those angles. He's gonna need to box marg for at least 90% of the time.

 

In terms of Class these two guys are on level. Cotto is just a more technically sound boxer....but this won't be a boxing match. This will be a FIGHT!!! And Marg will force the issue while Cotto will try to stick to the "Boxing" game plan. IF...and that's a BIG "IF"....if Cotto can box 90% of the time he can pull off the win, but he'll end up banging and that will be his undoing. Marg wins this fight by KO.

 

Its a toss up fight. I slightly favor Margarito because of his size but it aint an easy fight for both men.

 

if Cotto can outbox Mosley he can outbox Margo. i think the first 2 or 3 rounds will be competitive but after that Cotto will adjust in the middle of the fight, switch stance, and counterpunch his way to a decision although i wouldnt be surprised if he tko's Margo or Margo's corner quits. Bottom line, Cotto is just the better and complete fighter.
