I think he has the ability but I don't think he'll put it together and get the win

i think the experience he gained from the Froch fight will do him wonders... and to be honest i think he might confuse AA with his speed and unorthodox style - he lands punches from odd angles. If he can keep AA off him i think he can rack up an early lead. Another bonus is not having to deal with those ******* Euro judges that rob every single American that has ever ****ing fought there

yeah once AA starts to get inside and land it will be dangerous for Dirrell, he needs to keep him off him and watch for the wild hooks. But i saw enough against Froch that i think he can do it... i have $50 on him at 3.5 odds :good

Dirrell definitely has the ability, he just has to show a bit more aggression, catch the judges eyes.

If Dirrell doesn't get caught flailing. Yeah, he can win. He can win wide on the cards if he fights the right fight.

if hes learnt his lesson from the Froch fight, then he certainly can win. And possibly by quite a wide margon. whether he will or not... who knows?

I think Dirrell's chance of winning is by UD but the bigger probability of happening is a TKO by AA.

Yep I'm with ya. I think AA gives away too many rounds early on before attempting to KO his oppenant late on. I think that will prove costly against someone as elusive as Dirrell.

I wonder if the ref will let dirrell jump out of the ring and run around the stadium, and count that as ring generalship and effective defense

Dirrell on points is a safe bet. He has the style and athletic abilities to trouble AA anyway, but having local judges on his side (remember, it's a non-title fight so no international judges are mandated) should do the trick if Andre can win 5 rounds. Abraham's coach is actually instructing the King to go for the KO, so they seem to understand to take Detroit, they gotta drop the AA-bomb!

To do that, Dirrell needs to overcome his fear of being punched. If he was scared to engage Carl Froch, who knows what he'll be like against a big puncher like Abraham. Not to say Dirrell doesn't have bags of talent, he does. But I'm not sure he has the heart or the experience to pull it off.
