Anyone else think Dirrell will win a UD over Abraham?

Well....I don't see Dirrell winning by KO or Abraham winning by UD :-( :smoke

I do, and I've been saying that for a while. If Dirrell has learned his lessons from the Froch fight, and if he fights intelligently, unless Abraham is better than I think he is (and I already have him in my Top 3), Dirrell should have a 45-55% chance of winning. Given the odds, it makes sense to put a few $s on him to win by decision. But if Dirrell doesn't show a much improved performance, he will lose if not by KO, then by decision, because Abraham is a hell of a boxer.

Once again, I don't know why people are comparing Abraham to Froch. Abraham is much more skilled, and more talented than Froch.

Yes he is. He is also much more explosive, much more accurate, his timing is much better and he is much more intelligent in the ring - he picks his shots better, etc.

One thing Ward should have learned from the Froch fight is how not to be too risk averse/negative in the face of a puncher. It's a good lesson to have learnt before fighting Abraham, even though Abraham's aggression is not mostly crude/ineffective like Froch's.

Take Pascal, for example. After fighting to survive against Froch, he fought Diaconu, a guy considered to be a puncher, a guy who was trying to take Pascal out, and he gave a very self-assured/dominant performance. I'm hoping Dirrell will act the same against Abraham. (Obviously, I'm not saying Abraham and Diaconu are that comparable, but you get the jist).

Well Froch certainly didn't land anything, so no way to compare his to Jermain Taylor's.

nah mate i was referring to the fact that if the fight was in Germany, like most of AA's fights, Dirrell would need a ko

you ALWAYS need a ko to win in germany... ask holyfield :good

I'm bored with this bias about Germany. Here the robberies of 2009(it's only my opinion)

    Sergio Martinez vs Cintron(USA)
    Sergio Martinez vs P. Williams(USA)
    Clottey vs Cotto(USA)
Roky Juarez vs Chris Jhon I (USA)
    Juan Guzman vs Ali Funeka(Canada)
Paul Malignnagi vs Juan Diaz I(USA)
    McDermott vs Fury(Britain)
    Tim Bradley vs Nate Campbell(USA)
    Froch vs Direll(Britain)
    Shumenov vs Campillo(USA)

Ok Germany had controversial close decisions in Kotelnik-Maidana and Sturm-Gevor but those were far from the robberies and cant be even compared to bull**** like Juan Guzman vs Ali Funeka or Shumenov vs Campillo.

He has all the tools in the world to outbox AA to a decision win... especially in his home town!

But, personally I hope Abraham catches him with something big and knocks him out cold.
