haye has a fight lined up for the 10th but still no opponent announced. He knows he can't go fighting a third bum in a row and there isn't many other options for him apart from maybe: pulev, duhaupas, Ustinov charr, Jennings. I think he should go for broke and take on Ortiz in December.
Atm hayes only real sensible options are. Either take on bellew or wait for a title shot continuing to fight low level guys for now. Heard he had some sort of deal with boxnation. Then suddenly hes maybe getting the ruiz v parker winner. Go figure. Up to this point in his comeback hes not really had a proper promoter as such. More looks like he pays the promotor so he keeps the lion share himself. Unlike with warren or hearn where they d pay him out of the pot. So haye pretty much has to pay the opponent from what he makes which i dont think is a lot atm hence why we re getting de mori and wallisch etc. But a fight with ortiz who,s now a hearn fighter. Hearn would pay haye for his services. Up till now on his comeback his fights dont generate enough to probably even bring across anyone on the nightflys list. Ie...pulev, dehaupas, ustinov, charr etc even briggs for what hes asking. They d pretty much all price themselves out. An ortiz fight wont happen for a few reasons... 1. Ortiz would be for small money. Would be stupid business sense to fight him. Hearn who now promotes ortiz would be paying haye for his services. Bearing in mind its on the undercard...and probably pencilled in as a cheap opponent. Hearn will be offering haye a low figure for his services. 2. ortiz v haye is better than the main event. Bearing in mind its joshuas ppv. Hes meant to be the big star. Hearn or joshua wont want that. 3. Haye would be paid small for fighting one of the most dangerous opponents in the division. A guy that some think would beat most of them. And yet he has better oppertunities out their with bellew an easier opponent for much bigger money. Or has a title shot awaiting. Pretty much different from the joshua situation where hes getting good money to fight average opposition.
Haye has signed with Boxnation so it won't happen. Someone on the level of Christian Hammer would be acceptable at this point.
He'd get destroyed for little money, thats the last thing he'd ever do. Haye is a fringe top 20 hw at this point in his career and he's looking for a cash out fight. If he fights on the 10th it'll be against another no hoper.
They won't have the budget for it. And what makes you think Ortiz will just happily fight Haye? Didn't seem to eager to fight Ustinov
