He was very blatanty fouling against Roy (Roy did too but Hopkins initiated every time) partly out of frustration that he couldnt seem to hurt him with anything legal. The ref in that fight was blind and gave Hopkins a break imo, but in Canada I dont expect that. Hopkins is fighting a guy he wont likely have enough power to back up. If it gets rough in there for Hopkins he will start thowing low and hitting beind the head. Hopkins is smart enough not to get KOd (unless its by one punch he just doesnt) but if he senses that he is wearing down, I think he will foul out of the fight. Hes the kind of guy who no doubt would rather lose by DQ than get stopped or dominated.

Perhaps. It's more likely that he will try and get Pascal DQ'd and the anger in me will reach a level where I shall go all red in the face.

That is very true also. He tries to lure his opponents in to fight dirty by making them frustrated enough to try and retaliating because he knows they are not as slick at it as he is. I just dont see him getting way with that in Canada. I think he will find that out early.

No. I don't think he's ever been DQ'd and at 46 years old I don't think he's gonna do anything new.

Yup. I think he'll get himself dq'd rather than get stopped.

True, but hes never fought outside the US and hes never been 46 fighting such a young guy eitherl. He improvises and I think there is no way a guy like Hopkins goes out on his shield. Hes a warrior, but hes more about self preservation than anything. He calls the shots and if hes in a position where fouling is the only control he has, he will use it.
