Anyone else think it would be a mistake for Taylor to take on Calzaghe?

He doesn't have the power to KO joe knocking him down is one thing knocking him out is another.

You think this man is worried about JT power when he can take a punch like this >

And the amazing thing there is that Calzaghe is actually firing back a left hook, despite taking that huge uppercut.

Also, how many light heavies would that uppercut have KO'd? Chad Dawson's shaky chin anyone? (And yes I do realise that Chad would try to avoid the uppercut if he were to fight RJJ).

 

Calzaghe would rip him apart...Not a good fight for Taylor !

 

Taylor should never even be in the same arena as Joe.

 

Where is the option for Calzaghe with beat Taylor like a red headed step child?

 

Jermain shouldn't fight Calzaghe, at least not now. No way.

Those 2 legends are long past their best at least Roy and Hopkins fights best coming forward ..JT only fought back hard against LACY because Lacy isn't as crafty as JOE .Im certain his punch out dwindles once Joe makes him miss a few times .

 

I'm surprised at the overwhelming view that Taylor isn't ready for Calzaghe. While he would be an underdog against Calzaghe I think he is a live one. Taylor has fought Hopkins 2xs, Pavlik 2xs, Winky, Lacy, and Spinks. All have been champions and/or top pfp guys. Taylor has been in with the best during his career. I think he should try to get a fight with Calzaghe.

Of course another fight in the mean time would be beneficial just to let Taylor get more acclimated with the weight and allow Calzaghe to age a bit more. But in his last two fights Calzaghe had as much trouble with Hopkins that Taylor did but Taylor fought a younger Hopkins. Then Calzaghe looked good against Jones but Jones is shot. Nothing suggests Calzaghe dominates Taylor. Joe is the favorite but Taylor is going to make him work hard for a win. Its a good fight.

 

I would like to see the fight after a good tune-up, I think.

 

I'd love to see Taylor get beat again. Hopefully HBO won't steal the decision like they did against Bernard.

 

I'd like for Taylor to fight Kessler ..Joe would just baffle JT in the later rds .

 

Calzaghe would probbly win but it wouldn't ruin Taylor.
