Anyone else think it would be a mistake for Taylor to take on Calzaghe?

Taylor is as ready as he ever will be, but that's not near enough. Calzaghe would dazzle early, fatigue him in the middle rounds, and end it late with a TKO.

Yes he is. If you remember he had a chance to fight Froch for the vacant belt and instead chose to take on Lacy in an eliminator to fight for the same belt.

Lou Dibella has already said that they would go to Canada to fight Pascal if he wins, but that a Froch fight is unlikely.

I've been saying for several months that Taylor wants no part of Froch and that, absolutely, there is no way Taylor would come to the UK to fight him.

I dont understand how he can even be considered for a fight with Calzaghe. Hes lost twice to Pavlik and beat a shot Lacy. B Hop is the only guy thats worth considering

Taylor is fast and athletic enough where he will never really be "embarassed" in the ring. I would favor Calzaghe definitely but Taylor would make it a good fight. Losing to Calzaghe at this stage above 168 would not derail him too bad. I would like to see him grab a title at 168 first though to fall back on.

I've been one of Calzaghes harshest critics, but I honestly don't see Dawson or Taylor beating him at this point.

    :rofl :rofl :rofl

You know, the part after the red is the reason why he doesn't want a fight with Froch.

I absolutely think Taylor's camp see the risk v reward scenario in a Froch fight as not in anyway in their favour.

The fact that there's a fair chance Hennessy might win any purse bid and the fight might end up in the UK just makes it even more so.

If they fight, it has to be a catchweight at around 170 pounds. I don't JT moving up to light heavyweight any time soon. Who is left for him to fight $$$$?
