    I only watch/ know of floyd because he is a boxer. Everything he does outside the ring is irrelevant to me

    this is a good example of why some of these posters think you dont even know what the hell youre saying. whose dick are these complainers suppose to be riding? and what about those complaining about the black man not geting his due, where do they stand on your dickriding scale? after all theyre doing just as much complaining about america not being nice enough to the bruthas.

    One could argue that Floyd Mayweather has single-handedly carried boxing from the DLH era to its current state. Remember, when he and Oscar were getting ready to fight, it was being marketed as the last big fight in boxing.

    That was six years ago.

    Boxing was supposed to be dead by now, yet it isn't. We have young fighters emulating Floyd's style in the ring (i.e. Broner). We now have random drug testing. Defensive fighters are now getting appreciated in a way that Pernell Whitaker could only dream of.

    This guy has been nothing but a gift to the sport of boxing and he will be missed when it's all over.
