Yeah, it was some amusing **** all right. I don't believe he's as mentally affected as he makes out.

Great fighter in the ring and, yes, I'd enjoy the sport more if he didn't act like an idiot. Because him being a **** has a massive ripple effect. His fans follow suit and it make discussions about him, and to a larger extent about boxing overall, almost unbearable.

Don't start with your racist bull****. Oh, America would never cheer for a black man. You mean like Joe Louis, Sugar Ray Robinson, Floyd Patterson, Joe Frazier, Sugar Ray Leonard, Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, George Foreman, etc.? And who the **** are you to say what a black man should be like?! Andre Ward is the model, huh? A fool who calls himself the Son of God? Don't get me wrong, I like Andre Ward, but I wouldn't go so far as to say that he is what a black man should be. What ever happened to everyone being an individual? This whole racial divide thing got old in the 60's. Let it go.

I don't like Floyd as a person much but as a boxer he's one of my favourites...you've got to give credit to him, people who don't like him will pay to watch him get beaten, and since he's undefeated there's a mystique over who will be the first to do it. I think he's deservedly going to be looked back on as the Tyson/SRL/Ali of this era, even if he is remembered as also having been a *****.

Have u ever heard about the Kltschkos, they have PhDs... Diaz is/was at law school I believe and I'm sure there's a few others. And u haven't heard any articulate boxers?? Some much more than others but there are, u just have to look at HBO and SHO, they have put 1 or 2 commenting in the past few years!! Lastly u propose someone from mgt. team to be that face of boxing.. Do u mean someone like Oscar DLH?!?! I'd dare to say he's a li'l eloquent, not to mention he's had a very successful after-boxing life!!!:huh

I'll give you Wladimir and Vitali as far as academic achievements, and even Juan Diaz going back to the University of HOuston to get his bachelor's. BUt none of those guys are articulate whatsoever and can't express their thoughts and ideas in a clear, concise manner during interviews (maybe Wlad and Vitali in Russian or German, but clearly their English is average at best.) Also, that's only 3 examples out of a myriad of prizefighters. EXTREMELY small sample size buddy.

Public speaking requires a lot more than a basic bachelors degree. It requires extensive practice, someone with a good command of the language, good diction, can enunciate their words clearly, etc. These fighters get punched in their faces for a living, the extensive damage they take to their brains (and specifically the brain stem region,) is what causes some of them to develop early parkinsonian symptoms and early onset dementia.

I don't think advanced education and being an articulate speaker go hand in hand; Ali was probably the greatest self promoter in sports history and I'm pretty sure he didn't go past getting a high school diploma as far as academic achievements. Bt even by the time he was in his early to mid 30's, he was CLEARLY a different person speech-wise than he was at 22. He unfortunately started developing early Parkinsonian symptoms in the 70's and unfortunately the medical community still didn't know much about that disease process, nor the process of dementia in boxing.
