Anyone else think Juan Diaz should drop down to fight PAC?

Bottom line is . . . it's stupid for Diaz to move down. :yep

well, pac is the superstar fighter. if juan wants to fight him then he should be willing to drop down in weight and chase him. that's the way things are. pac is the "money man" and he could do whatever he pleases. pac still has so many big money fights @130 that juan will have to wait for a long while and just content himself w/ sub-1M paydays if he doesn't want to drop down.

Diaz, the Unified LW champion, isn't coming down. Move up like Pacman said he might do because of weight issues and was contemplating fighting David Diaz, or stay down and fight the champions at 130.

This sounds like you guys feel Pacman needs a weight drained Juan Diaz to beat him. Pacman called him out first right? So he can move up. Diaz shouldn't drop his titles he worked for so Pacman can have an advantage. He said he could move up....then move up. All this "money man" stuff is an excuse. Pacman will make money at 135 just like he will at 130. So it isn't valid.

 

pac never called diaz out. after the diaz-suico fight, pac just said that he wanted to avenge his countryman suico in the future. pac is the superstar. he doesn't need to call anybody out. it's other boxers who need to do the chasing.

 

like you said, pac can make money at any weight he pleases. so, he can stay at 130 for a while and clean up the division. juan will just have to wait if he doesn't want to drop down and make millions right away.

 

They don't NEED to do anything. You guys think Pacman is DLH. He isn't.

Pac DID say he wanted to fight Diaz. Stop playing word games. You say you want to fight someone, it's calling him out.

Here's what we know. Pacman has mentioned fighting Diaz a year ago. Pacman not 2 weeks ago said he was contemplated going up to LW (mentioning David Diaz as an opponent). Pacman weighed more than Diaz on fight night.

Why is it that Diaz would need to come down to 130 given these facts?

He began at 106.

Not that it matters much.

Pac wins this one at either weight.

 

Good for him. But newsflash, no one here is buying that "Diaz needs to chase Pacman for the money" bit. Cats out of the bag already. Pacman weighs more on fight night, he said he was willing to move up to 135 to fight David Diaz. To ask Juan Diaz to come down after that admission makes it look like you guys (not Pacman) need Diaz drained.

 

diaz is the natural bigger guy having started @140 while we all know at what weight pac started. but i'll probably be willing for this match to happen at 132 instead.

 

As a kid. He was a teenager.

He hasn't moved up all those times to take on bigger challenges. He originally moved up because he was still growing as all kids do and filling out like every other human being.

His natural ADULT weight is 122.

 

pac will probably need one or two fights @135 to make him comfortable at that weight before he takes on juan diaz. so, fighting david diaz first is not a bad idea.

 

As I just said, Pacman said he could move up to fight at 135 to fight David Diaz. He weights well over 135 on fight night and in fact more than Juan Diaz on fight night. He is taller with a longer reach. Why would he need Juan Diaz to move down?

Pacman's start weight isn't relevant and I dismiss it in these conversations. Pacman fans CANNOT have it both ways. He was a kid, so his start weight wasn't natural. At the same age, RJJ was fighting in the amateurs under 150lbs.

 

Well then thats fine. Let him fight David Diaz first.
