Anyone else think Juan Diaz should drop down to fight PAC?

Hell no Diaz shouldn't move down. Why? Because poor Pac started so light? Because former fat Diaz is naturally larger? Either agree or move on I say. And **** catchweights. Ya'll have been so brainwashed by DLH and his "meet me half way" BS it's pathetic. Guys have been moving up in weight classes since boxing began, so what's the problem? Thank god you bitches weren't around when Hearns or Whitaker, or ANYONE moved up in weight, because all you would do is *****. That and call them frauds or exposed when they lost. Who cares what Diaz's natural size is?

Anyone who is comparing it to Pacman's natural size.

Diaz is naturally much bigger and always was at every stage of his development. He began pro boxing at 16 and was 142 and 144 in his first two fights.

At the same age and stage of development, Pac was 106.

This tells us something about the relative sizes of the two guys and how much leeway each have to move. If Diaz was to move up from his 16 yr old fighting wt as much as Manny has, He would barely make light-heavy.

The points about Manny growing would also apply to Diaz.

No, because all fighters don't grow the same. As a matter of fact, Diaz is an exception in that he has gotten smaller. Diaz was overweight at an earlier age, Pacman was not. You have to apply different standards based on their natural growth rates. Pacman was moving up in weight constantly, proving he was growing. Diaz was not. He was actually overweight to start, and needed to come down.

And comparing their natural sizes isn't relevant. That is only being brought up by Pacman fans looking for another avenue to justify Diaz moving down. Bringing it up has no relevancy on Pacman's CURRENT size, which is just as big as Diaz based on the weights we have seen them come into the ring at on fight night AND their other measurments. It is also based on Pacman's own statements that he has a hard time making the 130lb weight class.

No, Pacman never actually campaigned at the 115 and 118 weight classes. He skipped them basically. He fought a few fights here and there at catch weights (Actually fighting at 113 within a year of his first bout at 106).

 

i don't think juan diaz even entertains the idea of going down in weight to take on pac. he has three belts at 135 and going down to 130 does not make sense when you are capable of unifying all belts in your division, which is very rare in the sport, specially nowadays.

meeting with pac at 135 will be the only way juan diaz will accept this match

Diaz should move up at 140. He started anyway at 140. I am sure a fight with Malignaggi or anyone at that division would be competitive instead of challenging a naturally smaller man.

For Ch@#$ sakes, juan started his career at 140, while Pac started at the minimum weight.

 

Why should he go down?

It is Pac who has to move up in order for this great fight to be made.

Their purses, on the other hand, is another matter. In this, it is Diaz who should clearly give way...:yep
