Going to keep posting this in hopes that someone who has some pull reads and makes it happen- you grade judges, similar to how NFL refs are graded. If their scores are off by 3+ points from the other 2 judges in a given fight, or maybe 3+ points from the average of the press row scores, they get an F for that fight, plain and simple. If their overall judging grade falls below a B they don't get to judge championship fights. If their grade falls to an F they are relieved of their duties. Get it done!!

By who? By the promoters who pay them? By the commissions, who bend to promoters and only do what they're told?

maybe they can be graded by the sports writers, hell they pick the heisman trophy winner, they pick the football top ten. sports writers use to decide boxing matches, they were called "newspaper decisions". that way you get a wide disperse group of votes.

It's funny you should say this because I was thinking the same thing. Judge ratings should be available somewhere for all to see. And if a judge does such an atrocious job s/he should not judge another fight, especially at the championship level.

If this happened, all it would ultimately do is open up a new avenue of corruption, where bad judges get a stamp of approval from a bad oversight committee.

I was just looking up some judges record on boxrec, Julie Lederman, I think and then I noticed something there was a judge that worked the first Gonzalez/Rungvisai and the Pacquiao/Horn fight. Waleska Roldan. Somebody needs to stop this dude. Who knows what kind of damage he's doing.

That only works if the other two judges are on point. We get three bad scores all the time. I've seen Julie Lederman and Dave Moretti copy each other's scorecards! That won't make judges accurate. It will force them to collude with one another more to protect their rating.

Maybe, for title fights we need nine judges, a jury of their peers. Nine fighters. If you've got an active boxing license then you're on jury duty. I've seen three people screw up, but nine, maybe nine would be safe. Well, OJ, Casey Anthony...****.
