Well, he also has a reputation of: 1) being undefeated 2) most accurate boxer ever since it was recorded 3) first athlete to voluntarily demand additional random blood testing leading to competition 4) generating PPV sales only surpassed by Tyson and de la Hoya Oh wait, those aren't apart of his reputation, those are facts... Goes both ways, buddy. This is a thread about Sergio, I believe, but thanks for letting us know what your agenda is.
Ooook.. left out point #5.. U know the point about being one of the biggest duckerz n chicken shits in boxing history. Ohhh yea btw STFU n mind ur business I wasn't talking to u anyway:verysad.
He is good but it would not come as a big shock if he lost like it would Floyd or Pac.He is not in that league.
Why does this need to turn into another Floyd vs Pac crapfest? I think Sergio Martinez is a little overrated. Given his lackluster resumme there are a few other fighters I'd have ahead of him in P4P. Ward, Klitschko, Gamboa, Bradley, Cotto, etc...
No. Just you. Everybody on ESB are in total agreement for all boxers. Nobody ever gets overrated or underrated on here. 'cos we are all fair like that.
for beating froch? Donaire has fought more credible opponents. Even Brian viloria has more depth in his resume than ward.
you talking about the fight where marquez called out Floyd and went up in weight for the money? Maybe Sergio should follow his lead :rofl:rofl:rofl
Okay I might of exaggerated alittle on him being the one of the best 154lbers ever , but I'd bet if he chose to stay in that division instead of making the move to 160 he could do there very well. At the guys age and not really even MW size at least by todays standards the guys doing pretty damn great. The guys arent exactly bums the ones whose scalps he's taken yet I know they are not elite with the exception of Williams. Keep in mind none were easy fights and they were all world class. Its easy to disregard Cintron now, but not too long ago he did present an element of danger even tho he was a hot and cold fighter or in another words inconsistent. Sergio gets my respect for fighting the most avoided fighter twice and destroying him in a ko of the year and for beating the MW king Pavlik. Pavlik had his problems, but no excusr.losing to a smaller, older fighter like Sergio. Just until recently Maravilla did struggle with the unknown Barker, but credit must be given to the young lion who might of beaten any other middleweight that night not named Martinez. Ward deservingly does earn Sergios place at #3 or#4 but Sergio still IMO definitely has proved he is top 5. Barker and Dzin are top level Euro talent.
